I think you're wanting to misunderstand this, and you're overcomplicating the way news spreads. For one thing, you don't even know whether former Paragon employees are allowed by contract to talk to each other about these matters. For another thing, some former employees who know ML can be trusted have thrown that hint our way, because it's all they can give us without doing something really stupid. Some of us are taking it with smiles. Some of us are throwing it back in ML's face.

For your case, what you and some others here SHOULD be doing is tracking down any redname who has given ML a good word on this forum or the Titan Network, and dressing them down for not giving you news directly right now. That might sound silly, but it's a helluva lot more sporting than trashing the messenger in a public forum that she can and does read.

Lastly, NCSoft doesn't care that you're impatient for news. For their part, they would never care whether you ever knew the specifics of these circumstances. The people who we will have to thank for any good news are the people fighting for our cause.

I rather have the news directly. As they say direct from the horses mouth?

NCSoft probably dont care for much of anything besides money and how the nego. assuming they are still on going, will benefit them. Buisness is a buisness's buisness and in the game of buisness, you dont get there by being a charity, playing nice, or caring for every little thing.

In my experience, that's not the way I've seen it work in small companies. There is actually zero reason for the former Paragon employees to be left in the dark considering that their future employment situation would be directly impacted by the negotiations. There's huge reason for them not to tell anyone else, of course, because that could mess up negotations - but for Paragoners to be left in the dark makes no sense.

ML made some incorrect statements. I and others have pointed that out. Now I wasn't aware of the psychological handicap that made her incapable of apologizing for getting her information wrong, but now that I am, I'm totally behind her. (There, now my sarcasm coefficient matches yours.)

I am, in fact, not impatient for news. I'm just here to point out that the golden idol has feet of clay. It doesn't mean she's not doing good things for CoH, it just means that, as ever, that taking someone's word for granted, especially when they're telling you what you want to hear, is dangerous.

Never going to happen. NCSoft has already said what they had to say. If you hear anything good, it will be from former devs or a new publisher or studio that takes over. And even then, you might not hear anything any time soon.

If that sounds overly negative for me, it's because I feel exceedingly overly negative about any discussion right now that isn't based loosely around the old phrase, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Just replace country with community and you get my drift.

If you haven't done all the things the Titan Network has pleaded with us to do, then you shouldn't be nitpicking peoples efforts who are doing something about this, and you shouldn't nitpick NCSoft for ignoring our pleas for information if you won't even respond to your own community's pleas for assistance. And I know at least one of the nitpickers in this thread hasn't sent in their mask and cape yet.

And, Brillig, I wasn't being sarcastic.

Interesting privacy implications in that statement.

I know, it probably never going to happen. Standard procedure, unless they call a press conference or something or actual release letters to customers. But still rather hear it direct.
Dont worry it's not negative. The way it is and works doesnt always have to be negative nor do positive always have to be pipe dream.

I'm looking into the cap and mask thing, not sure how it helps or purpose of it, but might do it anyways for laughs. But I'm still reading over PayPal procedures/privacy policies.

And as far as that phrase go, I actually like my country. This community?...well I just want to save the game, lets focus on that.

And like I mentioned in past post, best beleive I'm putting effort into this thing. But dont get it twisted, just because Titan Network says do this or do that doesnt mean I'm automatically mean I'ma go "Yes, master." and go do it. If it looks like a bright idea, I might go for it. If not, I'll something else some other way. And just because I'm doing every little thing Emporer TonyV says over there doesnt mean I'm not doing my part in this. Titan hase one view of doing one thing and I have another. So far his view seems to be hush hush outside the inner circle so what am I suppose to do? Wait outside his palace door waiting for word if he feel like saying something? Nope, if he has info that can be shared by all means, share it. If not, then I'ma continue forward with or without his blessing.

Ah, so personal information leaking out of SaveCOH isn't serious.

Can I quote you on that?

Hey, knucklehead, I'm not a member of the Titan Network, and even if I was, I'd have no clue who all sent in their masks and capes unless they posted publicly about it on the Titan Network boards.

But, yes. You're welcome to quote me, and sue me while you're at it. Have a splash, you're on my ignore list.

That's cool, you clearly weren't paying attention anyway. I'll just watch you continue to do damage to the cause you think you're helping.

Actually, Legacy? I can't speak for anyone else, but I think you've got the right idea here. Do whatever you can do, and whatever you feel right about doing. I think that's the main thing, here. Just for what it's worth, most of what I've done at this point for the whole SaveCoH thing wasn't stuff I heard from the Titan Network. My main rule of thumb has just been to keep most of my "SaveCoH activity" OFF these forums and off the Titan Network forums. People get stuck on forums and it's a horrible idea to do that. Forums posts don't accomplish much in a circumstance like this. One thing I have done though, is post my open letter to NCSoft in comment sections beneath CoH-related articles in the gaming press, especially when I could get in quick and have it be near the top. It's not much, but where's it more likely to be read, there or here? Heck I don't even know how many pages back my letter has scrolled here on the forums now.

You've just earned a ton of cool points from me, for what it's worth. Hey, you're a villain! What's yours is yours!

Well Brillig, I'm with you on that one. An organization or cause or what ever it's called hinting at leaking personal information SHOULD be a serious matter.

If privacy of the people that throw in support is not important to them then I hope that they get all the information they can get but it wont be none of mine.

Wonder what other private information are they collecting to see who is doing what or buying now. I mean is someone going to wake up and find their bank dry because the save the game cause needed more money or what?
Dang my paranoid thoughts! Now I have to go and see if they are safe to deal with at all or are they collecting information on everyone that visit the site too.

Aaand, maybe not so many cool points, after all.

I am not a member of the Titan Network and the idea that they collect a ton of personal information is straight out of Brillig's mind, who has no idea what he's talking about.

If you're able to say, authoritatively, who has and has not sent in a mask and cape, then you have access to personal information that you shouldn't.

That's so blindingly obvious you should be able to see it through the ignore box.

So exactly what information do the person collect that is selling the capes and masks? Assuming that it's over the net and stuff and from what I hear it's through pay pal. I'm not yet done reading pay pal information collection policy yet but on the seller's side, what is seen and or collected? And given that they must deliver product, what information is used to do that?

And if possible, what is that money being used for? Their personal gain, charity, going int othe development cost of a new game or what?

Or maybe he knows just one person and only knows that they, and only they, haven't sent the stuff.

Or you could continue with your rampant speculation and accusation. Whatever works.

This.

I had no idea what he was...wow. Access to peoples personal information? Sometimes I just expect people to be reasonable, like when I'm having every day ordinary conversations with people off the internet.

I still like the fact that Captain Electric hasn't been able to refute my statements concerning ML and that she has been incorrect in the past (or unable to back up her statements), which is why I am unable to believe her in general.

I have my own reasons (which rather unsurprisingly has nothing to do with what she has said), as to why I believe that talks might still be in progress.

But, I don't expect to hear anything saying yay or nay concerning them, unless CoX is released from NCsoft's grasp (which will confirm my belief in that the talks were happening).

If it doesn't, then I will just have to believe that the talks broke down/were unsuccessful, but i will not ponder as to why they failed.

Ironic. I expected you to mean what you were saying, which was an obvious faux pas on my part, given your history.
