An impossible thing we might have seen one day
So, what are the odds that any of this info is useful for exporting to Freedom Force?
So I already managed to extract 2 heroes of mine and bring them into Blender. Thanks a lot for that, Arcana!
Now I was wondering: We theoretically have the texture files in the directory OGLE creates and it's easy enough to get the actual ones with the help of the PIGG viewer... So, is there a way to assign the normal maps and textures to the .obj model?
If you can't tell, I'm more a less a noob in 3D. >_>

Okay, begging for help. I've tried all the tips and tricks and I can get a frame directory output and all the images, I can get the gliIntercept.log, but I can't get the ogle.obj
any suggestions?
edit: got it
the computer I was trying to export from has two video cards, and apparenly the one that I don't use is the default and it messed up the export. I think. different computer works fine.
She does not post pictures of herself.
At least I have never seen one in all my years of stalking...er..reading her posts.
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
Saw an article today about a 3D printer store opening in Pasadena this Sunday. Also one opened in New York City earlier this week.

If you have some... a lot of disposable income, here's one item fitting the subject of this thread.

There are usually two sides to every argument but no end.
Everything placed above this line is always IMHO, YMMV and quite certainly not to be taken too seriously....
Well Bukobot is about half the price. A friend earlier this week showed me all the 3D printer swag/4 color glossies he got from Maker Faire New York earlier this month.

I realize this is a bit far into the discussion to suggest this, but to minimize the trouble involved with using this utility, I suggest putting them in a fresh SG base with no objects placed in it. Should knock that environment polygon count down to an absolute minimum.
Hope it helps.
All that is planned fails. All that is born dies.
All that is built crumbles. This will always be true.
But memories remain, And that is beautiful.
I haven't tried this yet, been to busy at work. But just for gits ans shiggles, I saved this thread offline so I can reference it later with the demorecords I do have.

Similar to what's being done here is the "Be Your Own Souvenir!" video.

Really cool and great job.
It would be really cool if you (and maybe others on Titan) could continue to refine it, using saved character costume files. That way even after the game goes down, we could all have a 3D print of our toons.
