So if nothing "new" is added to the Market today

What do you guys think are the odds we'll get something before NCSoft launches their new game on Aug 28th? That's a Tuesday BTW.

If we get something "new" today the question is moot, but if not . . . Will the devs try competing by with that launch by giving us some long anticipated goodies?

Just some idle speculation while waiting to see what we get today.

Aren't we expecting Nature Affinity today? Or is the Intrepid Informer not the official 1-week notice?

In case I'm mistaken, and Nature Affinity is also somehow not in the cards for next week nor the week after, I'd be surprised if, say, Cybertech costumes or Rogues & Vigilantes super packs are anticipated enough to constitute competition to the release of a completely new game.

What we expect and what we get are frequently two different things. Personally I'll be pleased to get something new this week or next, but I must admit I'll be a little torn if something new is added on the 28th.

I'll probably end up splitting my time between both shinies if that happens.

If we don't get some shark-themed costume pieces then Mako Week will be a complete failure.

Nope, now on facebook was an official but without date.

New is so realtive, i dont like how they sell old things as new.
The last 2 week they only published old stuff, so there goes there promise from the freedom launch.

And what promise would that be? Please link it so we know what you are referring to. No game has the budget or the staff to be able to add new items each and every week.

True, but it rings in my ears that they said they will release things more often, they said every week, i believe Zwillinger said that on ustream around the freedom launch and explained it that the new thing could be a powerset or even a small thing like cape, aura or a hat. So if u want a source watch old ustreams around/before freedom launch.

So you'll buy a new game AND purchase from the Paragon Market? Why would NCSoft want to prevent this? But, apparently I was wrong about Nature. Still, I strongly expect we'll see something new in at least one of the next three weeks.

I don't recall any specific promises of "something new every week", for what it's worth. We've certainly gotten new things more often and in greater quantity than we used to, the occasional dry week(s) notwithstanding.

NCsoft has a new game?

I want goodies, though. So whatever gives me goodies.

Goodies.

Including this one, there's 3 Tuesdays left. One for Nature Affinity (which we'll probably get a direct 1 week notice for), one for the SSA, and one for random stuff on sale that nobody really cares about. Haven't gotten the official 1 week notice yet, so, take your pick I guess.

I've been squirreling away a few dollars each month for this upcoming game quite some time. Just like I did for that monks with laser swords in space game. And luckily this year I didn't have any financial crisis that would have caused me to dip into those funds. So yes I'll be getting both that game and whatever is added to the market.

Yeah, George Washington 2. Emphasis on the initials.

Oh!

Haha, I totally forgot about that. It's just not on my radar, I guess.

I hadn't considered that nature affinity might come today, like someone suggested above. That would be nice. I have a character planned out and everything.

Not a promise, per se, but when statements like..

...are thrown around, the fan base expects something. Not just re-issues of content that should have never been "limited" to begin with.

But it's a moot point I suppose. Theree are two new permanent costume powers this week. Fish pieces are back (Until the 20th). And Mako's bite and the Chainmail/Leather set is on sale.

As for Guild Wars 2? Pass. Never liked the original or any of its expansions

I don't think NCSoft is interested (or concerned) about it's own products competing against themselves. I'm betting that most of the goodies are being saved up to combat the titan coming out in September.

Would love to have the Staff fighting weapons pack.
Not sure if that is part of the I24 schedule or not...
For I23 we still have 2 powersets, cybertech costume and super pack #2.

Isn't Guild Wars the one where you can't jump?

I played it once like six years ago, and that's the only part about it I remember. Not being able to jump. In an action-fantasy MMO.

I don't recall. But, the new one has jumping puzzles.

Boo. The only new thing is some IDF transformation powers and they put the fishbits on sale.

The Titan came out last December and couldn't make it 8 months before being forced to merge servers and announce it's going on F2P life support.

That was one of my major impressions of the game when I tried it, yes. It was extra jarring because I'd just recently started playing CoX, and going from being able to fly at will to not even being able to jump felt rather...limiting.

The "Titan" of September must not be that big a deal because I can't offhand remember what that particular game is supposed to be and I'm usually fairly aware of most of the bigger impending releases. *shrugs*
