NCSoft Time Cards not in stores...

What happened to all the NC Soft timecards? I have always been able to buy two month cards at Gamestop (which was the only store in my city to carry them), and now they are no longer stocked there.

Did I miss an announcement...?

The 60 day time cards seem to be gone. Even Amazon hasn't carried them in months. And Gamestop has always been erratic in keeping them in stock.

Best Buy use to only have them around the holidays. I did see one month Game Cards recently, the ones that came with the jet pack for a month but I don't remember where.

I've only seen the AION/GW exclusive ones.

a grocery store I frequent has the game cards for sale in their kiosk, that is the 'free month of play + jet pack temp power'.

but I haven't been able to find timecards anywhere.

This is bad news for me since this is the only way I have to pay for the game. (No bank account or credit card.) Amazon does have the 30-day cards but I still have the same issue regardless of whether they have the 30- or 60-day cards and it seems like a silly step to me to have to buy an Amazon gift card to then buy the CoH time card.

PKD, Do you have a Fry's Electronics near you?

I've seen at the one near (Relative term...) me carry the 60-day Fastcard NCSoft cards & the 30 & 60 day DVD case NCSoft Time cards.

Might be worth a try if you have one near you.

I've also seen the Game Stop near me still carry the Fastcard 60-day Time cards, so it might vary by location...

Thank you for the time...

The frys near me has em. My guess is that there is a limited print run and a small batch of cards make it to each store. Also, assuming it costs $3-5 to make and distro, & the store gets a cut, ncsoft is prolly making $7-8 on 30 day and $17 on the 60 card.
Idea: use a prepaid credit card and use it in your master accnt. Some have a monthly fee (walmart) while others have a 1 time upfront cost (walgreens).

The Best Buy and GameStop near me both have carried them in the past but won't order them anymore since they sat on the shelf for a long time before they sold.

Now they won't stock them even though they have 3 customers that have started playing CoH (one is a returning player) and want the time cards and they are customers that have been regular there for several years.

They still refuse to stock them or even special order the time cards for these guys and gals.

I was told at one of the Best Buy stores in Austin that it's a decision that is made by each store. Friends that work at GameStop have told me the same thing, it's up to each store. One friend told me that his manager stopped ordering the time cards just to run off one customer he didn't like. Luckily, they had another GameStop across town that kept them in stock.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Be honest. You were the customer, right?

I kid, I kid!

I've been on an annual subscription since launch. Currently on the 12+2 plan.

I do have friends that are students that like the game but don't have a credit card but do have spending money from part-time jobs, self-employment (babysitting, mowing, housecleaning, etc).

I won't even go into the GameStop nearest me because they refuse to carry anything to do with CoH because in their words "no one plays that". That's been their mantra for the last 6 years at least. Despite regular customers asking for Time Cards every few months, asking for various box sets as they were released, etc.

The one this happened at was in Colorado and it was after I moved back to Texas.
