Recipe Junk Folder
Quote:
The market tells you if there are any bids on a recipe (or any other item for that matter) so it's impossible to tie up a slot with what you personally deem a "garbage" recipe. Everything sells immediately when the price is 1 inf, or 5 inf if you are afraid that someone might bid under 5 and the 1-4 inf loss will bankrupt you.
I'm not going to tie up a valuable market slot for a garbage recipe- neither am I going to bother vendoring something for a few hundred or thousand inf- my game time is too valuable for that.

The stuff that has no bids simply vendor at an NPC store, which could be made easier by adding an NPC vendor at the AH/BM as I suggested.
The only people that get slots tied up are the ones that choose to overprice their recipes/etc and get ignored by buyers not desperate enough to pay those prices.

Deleting junk and not messing around dragging it into the market window to see if someone out there is bored enough to place vendor-bait bids on stuff.

I just converted several billion inf into prestige because someone passed the Crazy 88's as the "#1" supergroup on Virtue.
Vendor prices for anything in the game are literally meaningless to me, as they are for anyone who engages the market in a meaningful way- "meaningful" here defines as regularly selling your good drops for market prices.

Nobody is going to bother listing or vendoring garbage recipes regardless of how convenient it is.
The sums involved don't make it worth anyone's time.
A recycling bin would be a fun mini game that would re purpose all that junk the community has declared "garbage".

Then you don't need to be concerned with this thread. You already have a solution that works for you.

Except for the people that would camp the bins to grab stuff as fast as it entered. Yeah that couldn't possibly be abused by anyone.

Thinking about it, I think it's an interesting idea, just having a 10,000 storage inventory available to anyone inside the markets and each would be different storage for each zone. (I guess villains might get an extra one thrown in one of the vault buildings or something).
Personally, I think the real problem would be trolls stuffing the limited everybody-fleamarket-storage with 1 kind of thingy...like taking up all the space with Inanimate Carbon Rods. Why the hell are you stuffing the slots with rods like that!? No one could ever possibly take and use that many rods. And when someone wants to put up some Demonic Blood, the slots are full with rods! WTH?
Someone needs to find this troll and shove those rods right back where he got them, although maybe that's why he put them there...he gets off to lynch mobs shoving inanimate rods into him out of anger...
...hmm, what were we talking about again?

nope. not at all. I just find it "ironic". Irony in itself is not good nor bad. just something that makes ya chuckle a little sometimes. More than likely I'm probably one of the few that wont bother beating around a bush about saying something is hypocritical. If I think it is, trust me, I would flat out and say "They are hypocrites."
Power Customization wouldn't have happened if BaB hadn't worked on it during his spare time. It was always a matter of resources/time and that didn't change just because we got it.
It also doesn't make you a hypocrite if you think something won't happen then use it once it does happen. |

I could support a way to flag some drops as junk.
I could also support the ability to delete more than one thing at a time.
I could also support filters of some editable type.
I could also support the recycle bins ideas.
All of the above have some merit to them.
Not gonna hold my breath on any of the above, but it'd be nice to see any and all of them, I think, in some form.
A select multiple, delete all at once option would be great.

yeah there's no way they could gate it, that would be totally impossible because there's nothing else in the game that you have to wait a certain period to access.
Except for the people that would camp the bins to grab stuff as fast as it entered. Yeah that couldn't possibly be abused by anyone.

Not that this is much of a suggestion anyway because it would take much more work than it's "worth", but if someone theoretically wanted to create such a system it wouldn't be difficult.
Yes, that would be quite handy.

I've actually changed my mind, "toaster oven" is far more appropriate here.

As long as the 'junk' recipes still count against the recipe storage then I'm all for it!
One thing that I spend a lot of time doing is going through
recipe drops and deleting out the unwanted/undesirable recipes. Lets face it, 90% of the recipe drops in the game you cant give away, and the generic IOs are useless at 50 once you slot out your toon with sets. ( or memorize them ) I could really vent about the temp power drops - but that's another thread. My suggestion is to add links to the right click menu for recipes: - "This is Junk" - "This is not Junk" ( for when you change your mind ) These options will be saved to your local settings file. Once an item is marked as junk, it will automatically be routed to a new Junk Folder under recipes. A new button will need to be added "Clear Junk Folder", which automatically deletes all recipes in that folder upon confirmation. |
Would be so nice to mark all those darn temp power recipes as 'junk' and then just a "empty junk" button hehe....ah that'd be sweet.
And maybe go a step further so that when you go to an NPC store, there should be a button that says, "sell all junk recipes (enhancements/etc)." Wa-la. All 'junk' stuff sold in one click instead of quite a bit more
