So whatever happened to the old Storm Kick animation? Was it deleted? Does it still exist in a file?

Sell it for what, 100inf? Can't even buy 1 SO with that. So I have to clear out my tray every mission to make room for stuff I actually want to drop. To me that is hurting my gameplay by annoying me. I'll admit some are cool and rather useful like the backup radio but most are just fluff that we don't need. I say keep the temp powers as rewards for game content rather than random annoying drops that I will never use.

And you do know that this is a forum right? Seeing that you have over 14k posts I'll assume so. Learn to deal with other peopls opinions and ideas. You want them, I don't. Nobody is wrong here and there is nothing wrong with me speaking up about how I feel on the matter.

When your opinion centers around denying content for others just to save you a very minor inconvenience, deal with the fact that others might express their opinion that you're being selfish. I dare say I understand what this forum is a lot better than you do... If you can't deal with people's reactions to your opinions, perhaps you should keep them to yourself. I know, it's a real horrible and disappointing shock that not everyone agrees with you. You'll adjust.

I actually stopped farming outside AE cause I was getting Carpal tunnel deleting those things. They drop WAY too often and considering they take up recipe space they're a massive headache to deal with every 5 minutes.

I did deal with it. Nothing wrong with saying what you wish, I just think that idea sucks just like you think mine does.

I do agree that most are worthless, but I wouldn't argue against seeing more of them. A lot of them are good "flavor" powers, even if they are fluff. The idea has been put forward before, and I'm all for it, of adding a "squelch" filter that you can set up to auto-delete recipe, enhancement, etc drops that you feel are worthless. It wouldn't affect the drop rate one bit, just save the player the trouble of deleting them to make room.

They could add those crane kick and storm kick animations but mantaining number as they are now, damage, animation time...
That would be awesome. Loved those animations so much in the past!

Storm Kick did low-tier attack damage with Shadow Maul activation times, putting its DPA in the underworld. Shadow Maul does more damage than Broadsword/Disembowel, in an AoE, and doesn't pay the endurance and recharge costs that would normally entail.

So it completely makes sense to me that SK would be changed while SM was left alone.

Flurry, not so much perhaps, but Pool Power attacks have never been high on the list of things the devs seemed to give much focus to. I24 does seem to change that some, so perhaps Flurry can get some (needed) improvement there.

As a long-time fan of various fighting games, and martial arts manga/anime in the vein of Hokuto no Ken, my first (and still main) toon was a MA/SR scrapper -- who took the original version of Storm Kick, and Flurry, as soon as he could. The only thing about the original SK that bugged me was waiting for the long animation to finish when I rolled a miss. Flurry, on the other hand, was respec'd away pretty quickly for the reasons we're all familiar with.

Even if the devs never saw fit to give either or both of these powers a short cone AoE (like Shadow Maul), I always thought that there's one change that could make me happy with them. Give each an alternate, very brief, single-swing-and-a-miss animation that plays whenever either power rolls a miss. Roll a miss, you get this short-duration miss animation; roll a hit, you get the normal multi-strike animation. Minimizes the amount of time wasted waiting for your toon to finish doing no damage, and makes your toon look a little less foolish by preventing him from flailing wildly at empty air.

Ah, I loved this animation. I had a cool Martial Arts character I used to love, a Scrapper with a batmanish theme called Shadowing.

I deleted him after this animation got deleted. I was ANGRY about the change. Regret it mainly because it was a cool name and I would had loved to retain it. Last time I attempted to get it, it was taken on all servers.

On similar note: I also used to play an Ice/Axe tanker that I didnt delete but stopped playing entirely the day they "nerfed" knockback. These two actions taken by myself are reasons why I respect the Cottage Rule so much.

Anyways, back to Storm Kick. For a long time, after the change, 5th Column was still using it. I am not sure if they still do. Not sure if the Council also keept using it since they are technically newer critters (not just a rename of the old, although a lot of copy pasting was involved.)

There are a few extra things involved, though. Only animations that match the current power cast time can be used. Also, the animation must make sense with the effects of the power. Total Focus animation cant be used fo Knockout Blow because it just makes no sense the target would go flying upwards after being hit in the head while falling (besides cast time.)
