But they aren't particularly descriptive.

Saying you cant describe something cause of how awesome it is is a description of its awesomeness in of itself.

I have to say, Super Speed looked pretty cool in black. Like an oil slick, or tar under your feet.

I bet, if I knew how to make macros, that it would be easy to create a macro that would turn on fly and set a flypose

but I'm too lazy to figure that out.

The only macro I've done was making teleport work with a shift click so I could do it easily with the mouse. And I've long since given up on teleport

/macro
"Name of Macro here no quotes" Like FLY
"MACRO ACTION IN QUOTES" like "flypose2" then press enter and the macro appears in an open slot on your trays.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I know how to make macros. The problem, however (unless they fixed it when I wasn't looking), is that any time I stopped moving or got in and out of combat while flying, I'd have to reactivate the flypose as I started moving again because they don't stay set. It's a clumsy solution at best, and a power customisation option for it would be much better.

Or actually, to be syntactically correct:

/macro FLY "emote flypose2"

Correct, Tenzhi, and agreed.
I really hope they do add those emotes as proper flight customization options some day.
I do actually use the emotes as they are, but the way they work makes it clunky and a bit more limited than I'd like (I use a key bind for mine).
I've even experimented with binding the fly emote to my forward movement key (w), but it's still not really too great.

I wasn't around back then, but I've always been curious about the banking that people said characters used to do while flying. Maybe, possibly, hopefully that could return if/when they ever make the different poses full on flight customization options.

All this said... super happy we're getting the options we are getting in Issue 24!

I first heard about this on a fan forum, and my reaction there was "About ******* time!" I have had time to dwell on this since then, however, and I have to say that I really couldn't be more excited about this change. This is really a lot like when we got Power Customization back in I16. A lot of people said "Well, I like how my powers look already so I don't care" and even I couldn't really think of too many characters I'd want to customize powers for. I didn't have the frame of reference and the habit of matching powers to appearance.

In a similar way, I don't really have a very good idea of what I'll do with pool customization right now (other than make Flight and Leaping invisible, finally!) but I'm sure that once I actually sit down to play with it, all of my characters will have something to customize.

And that's not even getting into the subject of custom epics. THAT will be awesome, I can tell you right now. I've lost count of how many times I've wanted an Epic but remembered... Oh, wait, that won't match my powers. Damn! Now that won't be an issue any more, and I can go back to asking why Scrappers don't have an Electric Epic
