Just an hour ago, DC Animation revealed who will voice Batman, Robin and Two-Face in their upcoming adaptation of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns (click here for details). Now, the hollywood reporter has debuted a batch of new still photos from the two-part adaptation, which will be directed by Jay Oliva. These images include Batman (Peter Weller) and Robin (Ariel Winter), among others, and give us a first look at the animated style of the movie (as well as how closely it resembles the art in the novel). Check them out below:

The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 will be available on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital Download later this year, while Part 2 will be released early next year.

Look at the freaking chin on Batman! When did Superman become Batman!? Other than that one awesome cartoon episode from that series I can't remember where Superbatman kicks the crap outta Bane et al.

Seriously DC, your animated stuff is great, but if those chins get any bigger you're going to have to start widening the doors in Gotham/Metropolis.

Semi-kidding aside, I do look forward to this.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

You clearly haven't read the Dark Knight Returns.

The art in those DVD shots is pretty darn close to the Dark Knight Returns comics, including Batman's chin.

Think Mark Hamill will come back yet one more time as the Joker? Also here's hoping they do the Batman vs Superman fight justice.

I think Mark is holding out for The Killing Joke. He even has a petition on his facebook or twitter to get Timmy to make it.

A human at peak physical condition is not going to look like a damn body building.

I never understand that.

If you were gonna take some artist freedoms...Batman's design would have been a good start...

I don't understand why nobody seems to realize this is based on a stylized comic.

Mind you, I don't care for the art style, but I'm sill going to watch it.
