hehe, yeah when I first used that sniper power, I was like, "heey, those are photon torpedoes!"

Too bad I can't fit that power into my build

It makes you wonder how far that will go. Where once every channel had its niche, they slowly become so watered down that they all become indistinguishable from one another. There'll come a point where the only thing different between all those cable channels will be their names.

Maybe then there will be a shakeup. Because if you have a hundred stations that are all alike, they can't all survive. After that happens, someone will get the brilliantly "novel" idea of starting a network that's devoted entirely to a single subject.

All this has happened before...

Fine, fine... I gave in.

I watched the Stargate movie again and I'm starting to re-watch the show from the beginning.

This should take a while...

I am on Season 4 now Try to watch 1 episode a night...it is taking away from my game time!

Newest in game sound I heard was the tech lab door open sound... it gets very confusing

Stargate, its a crazy trip!
You can go real far, and you don't need a car!

But only for 13 episodes, and then it's done. Which I'm actually ok with, despite it being probably my favourite sci-fi show of the last 10+ years. I think there's something to be said for not going on too long, and having a firm pre-planned end point.

And Supernatural is an example of that I think. I gather season 5 was the originally planned stopping point for the show, and while I more or less enjoyed season 6 (haven't seen 7 yet, stupid UK tv) there's definitely a part of me that thinks they should maybe have called it a day after 5, ended on a high note so to speak.

(but Supernatural is definitely worth checking out, it's a lot of fun)

I too was very happy that Fringe got a final season of 13 episodes. It makes me glad it will be able to be written with a proper ending in mind. Nothing I hate worse than a show getting cancelled without any notice and not being able to wrap things up... I am looking at you:
Terra Nova
Alcatraz
and many more over the years....

Trust me, season 7 still has the charm. I've enjoyed it just as much as the previous seasons.

Also goes the other way, when I first started playing CoH at release I sometimes almost felt like I was playing The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall again. (Yes talk about old school). But I always swore the ambient background music you hear inside of a lot of the missions in CoH, particularly office maps, was the same as you'd hear in a Daggerfall dungeon.

At least 13 episodes to finish up Fringe is better than a comic book (which they promised if the show was canceled).

I haven't run into it with CoH yet (except that, thanks to this thread, I now picture a low-budget "Girls Gone Wild"-style commercial whenever I'm passing through Blyde Square and hear that twangy guitar theme ), but a PC game called Nocturne used all sorts of unlicensed music that Buffy and Angel went on to use. Every time either show would start a fight scene with what, in my mind, had become "Nocturne's fight music," I'd keep imagining Stranger and Svetlana suddenly leaping in out of nowhere with guns blazing.
