Please devs: Transfer Token to Rename Tokens

You can use 2 transfer tokens to rename a character.
On a different server than the one that the character is on, make a character with the current name, then transfer to that server. You'll then be able to rename that character for free. Once done, trasnfer back.
I, personally, haven't used a single one yet, nor renamed a character... so it doesn't really make much of a difference to me. Seems the transfers might be slightly more useful (since they can emulate the renames).

Although it is true that you can use 2 tokens to move the character and force the rename through that and then back, but you lose things in the transfer like conneciton to SG, prestigate level, rank in SG (even more difficult when you run a solo SG).
I would just like to be able to convert the transfers into something different. Maybe character slots at some rate.

2. Getting SG invites back into an SG is relatively simple if you let an SG member know what you are doing and ask them to invite you back in.
3. As long as your having someone invite you back in they can promote you as well.
3. Solo SG's are even easier. Simply use a second account to invite your own character back into the solo SG and promote him up to the previous rank. Prestige is even more meaningless in solo SG's.
Don't have a second account? Well it only costs $5 bucks to upgrade a free account to Prem and join your solo SG. Or a person can simply ask for help from one of the thousands of friendly and helpful players in the game or on the forums.
All that being said it would be nice if the devs decided to give us a pop up window where we could choose from a selection of options.
1. Server Transfer
2. Character Rename Token
3. Character Slots (I think 2 are the same value as a transfer, but my memory could be wrong)
4. Respec
I could get behind being able to trade in transfers for some other goodie. In my case, I'd be grabbing character slots. But Forbin's suggestion of giving people options sounds like all around win. Obviously different people will have differing needs and wants. With options, all of them could be happy.
No opinion really on the matter; since I just use 2 transfers to accomplish this.
As far as the excuses on why transfer to rename is "meh" - deal with it.. at least you have SOME .. FREE... option of achieving this.
And I second the: lolprestige comment. Prestige is meaningless since your/the SG does not LOSE the prestige you earned -- so to me it's all about bragging rights on the roster page. These mega SGs that require prestige make me literally "lol" almost as much as the players who go along with it. Once a SG has x amount of prestige the rest just sits there...and does nothing. Prestige requirements is one of the many reasons I just have my own SG.....

Or more simply put, give us the option to convert one token type to another. Perhaps add the ability to save up so many free tokens (5-10) to allow us to say open a single character slot. Better yet, save up more (10-20, idk at this point) and convert that to a PR token.

Uhm, wasn't asking about creating an SG. I was asking about paying rent at the registrar.
While it makes no difference to me because I sub as well as have Prem/Freem accounts, there are a lot of Prem base owners upset that they can't pay rent in SG's they are the leaders of.

They haven't given any indications that they are looking at changing either of those.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

But seriously I'm curious, where in my question did I give the impression I wasn't aware that SG creation and paying rent were locked behind VIP access?
I understood Necro couldn't give a definite answer, I was just puzzled as to why he mentioned SG creation since I didn't ask about it. I have not read or heard any dev response indicating that the ability to pay rent is intrinsically linked to the ability to create an SG. Or have I missed a dev response in an obscure thread or a Ustream? If so could you direct me to it so I can see what else I may have missed? Thanks.
I think he mentioned SG creation instead of rent because they are both locked behind the same door - being able to access the SG registrar. You get both or you get neither.
That said, my name isn't Necrotech_Master, so I obviously can't say what he was thinking - maybe he misunderstood the question for all I know.
