GO SEE IT!

I was worried that with this many characters it would gloss over some of the characters, but Mr. Whedon did a great job making all the characters have a spotlight. Even Agent Coulson had his moments.

Ohhh one more thing.

GO SEE IT!

I would like to give my personal thanks and best wishes to the employees of Paragon Studios for giving me so many fond experiences. You guys were the best!

Yes, our theater went crazy when it turned around and smiled.. and the final scene after all the credits roll is a perfect scene for this film.

They really did hit all the right beats, and the humor just added to it perfectly. It was fun, it was cool, it was our heroes growing into a team, and it was pure awesome. I definitely recommend any super hero fans to go and see it the second they can.

I was wondering what the numbers looked liked, not a bad thing has been said any where about the movie. This movie is perfect!

Just got back from seeing it in IMAX 3D. I can't recall the last time I had that much fun at a movie. I loved it, my kids loved it, even my wife loved it. They got everything just about as perfect as you could hope for. The Hulk-Loki exchange is just pure gold. I can't wait for their next one.

The Avengers hit $200 million estimated, which tops the Harry Potter finale by $30+ million for best weekend ever. The only record it did not take was best Friday/opening day.

Box Office Mojo says it even has A+ word-of-mouth, so it could have legs on top of that. Estimates now say $500 million for it's total run, but I'm thinking $600+.

I saw it and loved it even through the illness I'm fighting right now, so I fully intend to see it again!

Thank you, City of Heroes, for giving me a superhero social network combined with amazingly smooth game play. Petitions signed with realistic expectations.

Agreed of course, and the various studio execs who own the divided parts of the DC franchise have had five nights of wet dreams over a Justice League movie, even if it's a distant long shot. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash - $$$$$

I know its heresy, but I havent seen this killer movie yet. A couple of questions...

1) Just looking at pic stills, does Cap's outfit look pretty meh?

2) Did Ruffalo do a better Dr Banner than Norton?

Cap's outfit was always kinda "meh". From the front he looks like Captain America. From the back, he's a guy in blue spandex and the effect ain't all that flattering. Chalk it up to being one of those things that's easier to realize in a comic book than in real life.

As for "better" than Norton? Couldn't say.
Norton had an entire movie to flesh out a heroic, expressive Banner.
Ruffalo was portraying a more diffident, emotionally damaged and isolated Banner.

Much closer to the 616 rather than the emotionally crippled "Ultimate" Banner in 1610.

I want to see this, but I'll wait until it comes out on iTunes. I don't think anything short of a Superman, Justice League, or Star Trek film could make me go to a movie theater again.

I really wish cell phone jammers were legal.

See an early matinee on Saturday. I hit a second showing and while there were a lot of people in the theater, nothing like opening night.
