Mastermind Customization Made Easy (tm)

Step 1: Make several "Skins" for different mastermind sets. For example: Carnie Skins for Thugs, Knives or Malta skins for Mercs. Circle of Thorns skins for Demons. Banished Pantheon skins for Zombies. Color Tintable but overall standardized unique options. Make them "prepackaged" sets but a variety of existing and unique looks.


Step 2: Place said "skins" on the market at a price similar to costume sets.


Step 3: Rake in the money.


Suddenly the resources spent on making them are worth it AND the players finally get what they've been wanting.


The end.

This is by far the easiest solution and one that has been suggested many times before. Hopefully if we keep suggesting it they'll eventually get around to doing it.

In AE it is possible to color the Robot drones and Zombies a bit. Basically color the robot drones a bit of a color and the Zombies have their "lioncloth" colored. Thats bout it though so far.

The only problem this may present is if they're simply modded versions of existing powersets BUT also completely seperate powersets you'd end up with a whole host of Powersets listed which are essentially the same thing.

So you'd get:
Thugs.
Thugs: PPD
Thugs: Longbow
Thugs: Council.
Thugs: 5th Column.
etc.

All appearing in the powerset selection menu, would be quite cluttered.

i've suggested a million times to have the alt-model of faction-skins for the MM pets to be unlocked by various badges tied to the various groups.

not everything has to be part of the market :P but it probably will be now.

but alt models linked to badges, like alt weapon models, i've always considered a good idea and to make sense . kill enough knives of artemis and some of them will go rogue and follow you. kill enough banished pantheon zombies and you'll know how to summon those corpses in particular... and so-on [CoT demons, Tsoo for ninjas, destroyers for thugs...].

Short of full customization, this would still be a major improvement for MM pets/minions.

I also have said this a while back and think it would help with making mm pets fit with character concepts.

Then make up an easy way to do something.

Nah, the power selection stays the same.

The skins appear under Power Customization.

Yeah. Don't give customizable power sets to henchmen. That would be ridiculous. Just new models that can selected from a drop down in the power customization screen. I'm not even looking for the ability to adjust henchmen costumes in any way (not even colors, though if they could pull that off I wouldn't complain at all). Just give us some henchmen options.
