dark/?
Welp, there's always Dark/Fire. I heard it sucks. But I have posted the build for it.

KM works well with stacking stuns with OG.
MA and TW both provide a +Def power early on for added survivability.
DM has a Siphon Life, a second, cheaper to use heal.
Then there's Fire with the pure damagey goodness.
Theft of Essence Chance for +End proc is a must have for Dark Regeneration, which is your biggest end hog.
Stone... trust me.. stacking Fault and Oppressive Gloom stuns on bosses.. yeah buddy...
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
Ice melee (dont laugh) is great for extra layer of defense, mostly in ice patch.
The AOE at lvl 38 does the same damage as footstomp, but cold damage (no rage, so it may appear to be less).
I have used ice patch, and used it to catch my breath, when low on endurance.
Its very survivable, low endurance, but not so hot on damage ...
Though the others also suggest a very practical secondaries.
50 Tanks: Invul/ss, Fire/ice/fire, Ice/em, Stone/fire
WP/Stone, dark/dark, shld/mace
50 Other: WS, SS/dark/sc brute, BS/Regen/WM scrpr, fire/fire/force blaster, rad/kin corr, mind/rad ctrl, ill/storm cntrl
TW, the melee defense you get from sweep gives you a leg up on making DA godly with IOs.
It's an end hog though, but the rewards are well worth it.
It came down to fire or elec melee...and I went with fire...I really liked the idea of elec end sapping with DA/ but I have never played either set and I want some really good damage from this toon....
Currently Playing:

I'm running Dark Armor/Fire on Justice. It can be a big difficult to balance endurance costs in the 20s. Make sure you slot your attacks for endurance reduction, toggle off Sprint when in the middle of fighting and keep in mind which toggles you really need to have on at a given time.
Give a yell at me if you see Pitchfire running about.
Under construction
Second on Dark/Stone. Having run a TW/DA scrapper, I know all about end drain, and DA/SM is just not as bad. Tough, but certainly not as bad.

Martial Arts has some interesting stun synergy with oppressive gloom, if you don't mind your targets wandering a little, as well as a +def power. It's also pretty reasonable on end use.

I went StJ/Da personally. I found the combo system went well with the defenses I had. The end usage wasn't a problem either suprisingly. I don't run OG in my build or CoF but I mow thru things that quickly it dosn't seem to matter.
Speaking of a Dark/Stone Tanker, does anyone have an up to date build plan for one of those? Working on one myself and if there's a single set in the game that loves IO's, it's gotta be Dark Armour! Trying to figure out what incarnate stuff to take along with where to put ATO's and all that...
Although Jebe the Pirate's Dark Guide is a bit older, take a look at it. His suggestions for slotting IOs are still valid.

Stacking stuns...does it get any better than Dark/KM?
EDIT: LOL, besides WM and EM...
But seriously, DA/KM is really fun.
There's also my latest DA guide.

I actually hadn't realized you'd updated your Dark Armour guide recently, Dechs. I'll need to take a look, hopefully I can get some good stuff going! My current build plan looks solid, but who wants to settle for solid?

Despite many claims to the contrary.
I have no idea where these claims have come from.

Having just finished it, I now understand that! Haha, I think it's mostly because you're the undisputed lord and master of Dark Armour and with the knowledge you have it's nigh unthinkable to consider that you wouldn't have written a guide, particularly with the others you've written!
Did help me a little bit for the record, though fortunately a friend of mine had already keyed me to that tricky little proc in Dark Regeneration. What a wonderful thing that toy is!
I haven't played a tank in years all brutes and scrappers I have decided to do a dark tank what secondary goes well? Any build suggestions to slow the endurance hogging tendencies? I appreciate any help. I am looking for defense...survivability and something that will deal good damage as a tank...
