Around 11:30 or 11:45 is when we should be getting to the Stanford Shopping Center and Schaub's Meat Fish & Poultry.
By the time you get from SFO to San Jose/Palo Alto/Mountain View area we will probably be on our way to the hotel to check in.
Unless we decide to invade the Paragon Studios offices.

Just wanted to wish safe travels for everyone going to the Summit.
I went last year and I found it exciting and informative, but I couldn't attend this year. I enjoyed meeting some of the devs and community mods. And Zwillinger is the closest I got to a 'famous person' that I've ever had the pleasure. Sat to his immediate left during dinner, lol.
I'm thinking of driving to it next time. Take a week to get there but I'd finally see what's west of Mississippi, lol (instead of what it looks like miles above). I just really don't like flying and getting on 4 different jets to and from the Summit ain't my cup o' tea.
Anyways...

I'll be getting in around 9:30 AM local time.
After picking up baggage and my car, I should be on the road by 10:30.
I'll be stopping off to have lunch with an old Army buddy and will need to find a Walgreens or something to find hygiene stuff (soap, shampoo, and all the other crap they won't let you take on a plane anymore). But I should be out at Dinah's by 2-3 at the latest.

Also, don't they have complimentary soap and shampoo at the hotel?

All I remember is one GenCon we actually had several of our people detained long enough due to the original liquids scare that had JUST happened that they missed their flights.
I could probably get away with the travel stuff. But I figure it's just as easy to pick that stuff up on the far end. This way I don't have to hassle with it at all.

There's a dollar store near me, so i can buy each for $1 and if anyone needs it, they can just reimburse me $1 for each item.

After a full day of driving, Impish Kat and I arrived at the hotel this evening. Dinahs looks very nice. Looking forward to meeting folks over the next couple of days.

Just checked in for my 6 AM flight tomorrow morning and was able to get an upgrade to first class for $150! I normally pass on those, but for a six hour flight, that is more than worth it.

Flew out on the OMGWTF-early flight from Chicago to Phoenix (man those jetpacks are slow).
My connection was 3/4ths empty so I had a row to myself coming in.
Filling early got us out here early too.
Was actually at nVidia over an hour earlier than expected.

Nice place.
Tour of nVidia was nice. Got to see some of their testing lab stuff. These are the guys who go out of their way to test stuff to the breaking point. They also do custom manufacturing for internal use. VERY cool.
These are the guys who give the stamp of approval for SLI-worthy ratings for components.

I got a late start, after my last class. Arrived at Motel 6 in Sunnyvale, had dinner at Denny's and now I'm trying to decide if I shouldn't just go to bed and skip the anticipation. My poor Laptop is choking on CoH and this wireless connection is not really worth the $3 I paid for it.
I sure hope this is not all in vain and they'll have a ticket for me tomorrow.
