When was the last free update we got to Costumes? Now I think about it...

Imperial Defense is free for ViPs.

So it's free under certain conditions.

In other words, "free" as we understood it before Freedom.

And the Imperial Defense stuff is what I'd call "really cool free" costume parts. Sometimes we've gotten free costumes that frankly, were about worth what you paid for them.

There's "sci-fi", and there's "retro sci-fi". The pieces are for a "retro sci-fi" pack so vote accordingly.

This is how they were designed in the player panel at the Summit. And this is how I voted.

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

But Retro Sci-Fi absolutely *is* 1950s pulp.

I voted for the pieces that spoke to me the most as items that could be used on a wider variety of character concepts. I appreciate the idea that people are looking for something a little more stylistically specific and if they're going to have to pay for it, they want to pay for exactly what they want. I get all that. I just don't hold out any hope that we'll ever see rocket packs offered to us again and I have lots of characters that could use one and they aren't all Retro Sci-Fi. I'd rather vote for something more "generic".

your = Belonging to you.
you're = Contraction meaning "You are."
Ur = The name of an ancient Mesopotamian city.
ur = This is not a word.

Since this is a paid set (right?), then I say bring on the Jetson rings!
Don't get me wrong, I agree with this. Again, on every other poll up there right now, I have voted for the rendering most reminiscent of "retro sci-fi."

The only piece I'm contesting is the jet pack, simply because we do not yet have any jet pack costume pieces. That being the case, a "jet pack" costume piece would probably be considered "premium/special" no matter what genre it is from. Any back details that have not been capes or wings released since Freedom launched have been put on the Paragon Market (or have been T9 VIP).

Long story short: if they put a jet pack costume piece out there that requires no other monetary investment except my subscription, I'll be happy to vote for the rings. Until that happens though, I would rather the first jet pack costume piece available be a bit more generic in design.

@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.

I hear what you're saying. I definitely would like a plethora of jet packs to come out (one other game had a cool one that was basically a missile tied to your back), but since the theme of this pack is Retro Sci-Fi, I voted Rings.

To be honest, they should give us all three of the Jetpacks, and definitely plan on a "Back Items Pack" that would include even more Jet/Rocket Packs.

Didn't they specifically ask people not to campaign for their faves?

They did, but we're human. Well, in my case I am a chicken nugget.

I don't know if it's campaigning as much as it is talking about which designs we like more or what we liked off of each design. If somebody is swayed by the discussion, that's on their shoulders.

Besides, it's not like somebody started a thread specifically saying that we should vote for option X. Y'know, ignoring the little red text in the OP.

What is this 'little red text' you've mentioned?

I don't see it there.
