Booster Suggestion: Weapons Pack
I'd buy it. Can't remember the last time sets like Archery or Claws got new weapons. Would also be nice to get a few new Spines, while we're at it, as well.
This would be cool.

I'll set the bar even lower. I'd take a weapon pack that unlocked all the "defeat X" weapons from the get go.

Mostly for some additions to Beam Rifle/Pulse Rifle.
I think six new additions might be a bit ambitious, though. I'd settle for 2-3.
your = Belonging to you.
you're = Contraction meaning "You are."
Ur = The name of an ancient Mesopotamian city.
ur = This is not a word.

- Western Style, double-edged sword
- Super High Res katana with a different tsuba (guard) pattern with actual gaps in the design, maybe a detailed Habaki (blade collar), and a blade that has reflection tech applied to it. (or at least the sleak metallic 'reflection)
- Shirasaya style katana
- Odachi style. (Not quite Titan Weapons size, but definitely longer than the standard katana.
- Circle of Thorns, Thorn blade (because the handle is long enough for two hands)
- A giant, straight edge, meat cleaver shaped sword.
- Katana with various auras. (Electricity, fire, energy, etc.) possibly with two color options, one has an untintable hilt and tintable blade and aura, and the second being tintable blade and hilt but untintable aura. (since the devs no long seem shy about elemental weapons)

though i'd say 2-3 because there are a lot of weapon sets. 2 unique per set, a 3rd if it can qualify for multiple sets.
im just ready for my dang leafy tree branch weapons [mace, TW, sword, bow]. but ya some are missing some logical options, and some could use more ornate options... anyway i dont need to list, there is a thread for weapons customization.
the new staff meelee could totally use an ornate option tho. and beam could use some smaller zap-guns.
Hell to the Yes. /Signed
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Yeah, just what the title says. A Weapons Pack.
Hear me out first, though. Right now, in the game (as of Issue 22 Beta), there are 12 weapon-based sets: Assault Rifle Dual Pistols Beam Rifle/Pulse Rifle Archery Broadsword Warmace Battleaxe Katana Claws Dual Blades Titan Weapons Staff Weapons In many of these sets, a number of logical weapon choices are actually missing (Tech Katana, Impervium Broadsword, Etc.), while a few sets (Claws, Beam Rifle) are under represented. My suggestion? A Booster Pack containing AT LEAST SIX additional weapons for each category. A lot of weapon suggestions have been listed in this forum somewhere, and a bit of research would come up with many more. Yes, it would probably cost about the same as the other Costume Boosters, but I feel it is a very needed pack, and as a pack, would allow people to choose if they want them or not. |
Really like the idea of a pack like this though.
@True Metal
Co-leader of Callous Crew SG. Based on Union server.
well to cut it down, broadsword, dual blades, and katana can use some of the same weapons... and mace, axe, and TW[maaaaaybe] could have a model that crosses over. assault rifle and beam rifle also might be able to have a shared model depending on how it looked.
but yeah i agree 6 is a lot, 2-3 is doable this pack would sell like hotcakes. as would a second pack with all the unlockable models to be unlocked.
mmmmbreakfast.
but this adds up to:
7 new swords [2 per and 1 shared], 7 axe/maces/TWs [2 per and 1 shared], 5 assault/beam rifles ["], 2 new dual pistols, 3 new claws, 2 new staffs [cuz its spankin new], 3 new bows.
= 31 new weapons models. which seems like a lot but really they arent as complicated as new powersets, and some costume sets do have this many pieces
but the devs seem to like this new "alt weapon models for one powerset at a time... for sale" method. :/
I wouldn't mind, but I'd also like a "slow" way to earn them. Defeating warriors gets a different skin for some of the weapons or something. Or break it up.
All for new looks though.
Rather than One Booster to Rule them All, they could also be broken up by theme or category - "tech weapons" or "medieval weapons", or "melee pack" and "ranged pack", that kind of thing.
Given the number of weapon sets we have, they could probably hire a dev for one year who just cranked out weapon sets - and that dev could pay for themselves. There could be a bunch of new models plus the in-game models that are not yet available to players.
"tech weapons" or "medieval weapons", or "melee pack" and "ranged pack", that kind of thing. would work and the price may be more in line with the other sets they have released. I do want this
