Have Lore Pets always spawned -1 to you? (Level 49)
Gimme a bit to test this... silly 30s logout timer.
Hm, odd... my Longbow Total Core pets also spawn at 49. Hopped over to another character, and Cimeroran Core Superior is also 49. Another character, with Rularuu Total Core... 49. Yet another, IDF Total Core... 49. OK, last character with Lore, Warworks Total Core... 49. Well... huh.
I'd have sworn they spawned at 50, but then, I'm not sure I've ever specifically looked before. I believe MM pets spawn at a different level in Incarnate trials, so it would be worthwhile to test this in a trial also, which I did not do.
No incarnate trials they are spawning at 49 also...
I would of SWORN they were 50. Is this a stealth nerf? Or were they always 49?
Do you have one or two lore pets?
Mastermind pets spawn at level-1 when you get two of them. I wonder if the code is confuzzled.
I say bug it, worst they can say is WAI.
Something is wrong and it would be nice to have a red name in here on this. They use to spawn at 50.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Or were you used to being level shifted at 50+1 which made the pets 50+1-1=50?

Was this stealth nerfed? They used to be 50, 50+1 when level shifted in regular content, and 50+3 in Incarnate content.
I think this is a stealth nerf guys, I might make a thread in the General Forum to bring more attention and hopefully a dev response.

Sending a PM to members of the Dev team or OCR team is also a good method of bringing it to the attention of the Devs. Especially if it's one of the Devs that does bug tracking such as Arbiter Warrant.
Starting a new thread in General is great for getting your name out there for starting another thread, especially when a thread about it already exists. But you have plenty of experience with that over the years.
Actually, it's against the forum rules to start multiple threads about the same thing. So if you decide to start another thread and it gets removed by the moderators, you'll at least have been warned ahead of time.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Filing a /bug report in game would do better in getting Dev attention to it.

I wish I had an old screenshot of the Lore Pets... still waiting for more responses though, was this changed?

I honestly can't recall myself whether or not this has always been the case, but the 'Historical' section at the bottom of the linked page does't indicated that there was ever a change and the folks that work on the wiki are usually on the ball.

@Inquisitor
They've always been 49 plus shifts. There was no nerf.

It would be a thread about stealth nerfs, completely different. There have been actually quite a few now...

Mr_Morbid has given you the link to the info at ParagonWiki, UberGuy confirms they were always 49 and Eric Nelson confirms UberGuy's post.
Considering how much attention to detail and reporting of actual numbers that UberGuy has done previously, I'll trust his report more than many other people's reports.
You claiming it is a stealth nerf doesn't make it so, nor does it make another thread about whether or not Lore pets spawn at -1 to the player a different subject.

I actually put that in not so long ago, when in a trial, people asked me why their lore pets were a level below them. I was kind of surprised that nobody had seemed to notice before, so I added it to the article about a week ago, haha.

So why do so many people remember pets spawning at your own level? Did anybody get an official response to this yet?
So, what you're saying is that we have no proof at all that the pets always spawned at -1? If this actually was a stealth nerf, or a bug, pointing to a piece of text that was written AFTER the original version could no longer be verified, doesn't say very much, now, does it?

Way back when they nerfed Fire Imp levels from from +0 to -1 they made it completely public. I would be very surprised to hear that they intended to do the same thing to Lore pets as a stealth nerf. If anything this is almost certainly a bug and/or unintended.
But then again because there was such an outcry over the Imp nerf maybe they decided to try (and perhaps fairly successfully managed) to sneak this one past us. *shrugs*

Yes, because spamming the Devs is always the solution.

I . . . don't ever remember them being level 50.
In fact I remember looking at the 49+1 and saying "hmmm nifty, I wonder if that would happen to my fire kin's imps." Ofcourse I never checked my fire kin.
But main point being, I don't remember them ever being level 50.
With that said I'm getting old. So there.

Hi,
Archeology's a bit of a hobby of mine, so I like to keep old copies of stuff.
I'm also maintaining City of Data, and thanks to Real Numbers it has a complete record of every power in the game.
Put two and two together... It's a lot harder for a stealth nerf to slip by unnoticed these days.
I just checked an archived copy of the Issue 20 launch day data. The initial four Lore trees all spawned their pets at -1. From Tier 1's single pet all the way to T4.
Feel free to not believe me, but as far as I'm concerned, crisis averted.

I just noticed my Offensive Longbow Pets are level 49 when I summon them (Meaning they are -1 even with level shifts and incarnate shifts that would put them at 52 in an Incarnate trial compared to me at 53).
I would of sworn they spawned at Level 50... did they change or am I imagining things?
