Statesman, alive and, well....
I was thinking Statesman should turn the tables on the Well and take it over.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
"I do so love taking a nice, well thought out character and putting them through hell. It's like tossing a Faberge Egg onto the stage during a Gallagher concert." - me

Ah, but folks come and go on the team, so what is passe today might be retro chic tomorrow.
While it was extremely rare, there WERE people that got killed and stayed dead in the comics. Bucky and Uncle Ben. And now... Bucky apparently "got better" like John Cleese. He stayed dead for a long, long, long time, though. And for all I know, Uncle Ben will be returning on a retconned cloud of Converted Rice in a moment or two. But I think States will show back up again... and we will be shocked, shocked that there is gambling going on in this place. |

This is my assumption on the chain of events.
1) Statesman dies. 2) Lord Recluse helps stop the Well from enslaving mankind, starting with you. 3) Emperor Cole becomes Statesman. 4) The Well is Destroyed after we turn on it(after the final slot of the incarnate system is unlocked.) 5) The Incarnate system stops receiving updates as an advancement path. 6) City of Heroes 2 is announced. |
He gets dissolved by the Loc-Nar.
Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas
Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

After talking to Liberty at the start of SSA4 I don't think I'd want that jerk back at all.
In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michelangelo.
I tend to agree that there's a lot of storylines coming to a head/climaxing lately, and these are things that date back to the beginning of the game. The letter writer, various Phalanx plotlines, The Coming Storm....these are the big meta-stories that are the foundation of the game itself.
Once these are thrust into the spotlight and resolved one way or the other, we either get the basis for massive sweeping changes to the game (the dissolution/reformation of the Phalanx, and given we're getting the Recluse helm as well, a shifting of power away from Arachnos?) or the basis for shifting to a new setting.
I've harbored a bit of a hope that Praetoria after the fall of Cole's regime could be repurposed into a new 'City of Heroes' with reversed immigration, with heroes and villains both trying to control the city. Anyways, a guy can dream.
City of Heroes 2? Could be the seeds are being planted as we speak.
