Just posting to put on the record that I'm really new and, frankly, lousy at MMORPGs but CoH is one of two I stick with because the devs care and the community is kind.
My two sad little mains both lost their power trays to the Glitch that Stole Christmas, and yes, I'll rebuild. But ... I really was just getting up the guts to try a teeny group run. Sewers. Yeah I know, what, two years in this game and my mains are level 15 or so? and never grouped?
Well, it's me and it's true.
And now I really don't know when I'll get up the guts too again, cos danged if I knew my way around my power trays before this glitch...
I know things happen, and I am not freaking. Just saying I'm set back in a game I feel safe in.
Any kind and VERY patient folks who are on Triumph and wanna get CG Spike (red) or Absynthia (blue) on a sewer run.... send me a pm/tell.
and nope, not quitting over this....
I want the code monkey responsible for this to be shaved and sterilized!
Lots and lots of my new characters (post 2010) are getting this bug, and it's very annoying. L50 incarnate having 7 power trays wiped out, sheesh.
Rush to get onto a Manticore, and all power trays zorched?
It's BEYOND annoying, it's actively retarded.
Also, I've had characters logon, been unaffected, and after the first ZONE, BANG! All the power trays zapped. Solution there is to use your two 'christmas' powers before zoning.

And what makes it worse? Self-satisfied apologists who actively berate the paying customers for their problems, "defending" NCSOFT/Paragon when THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM!
I have a hundred and thirty characters, each of them with a minimum of 5 power trays ... it's a huge deal to ahve them arbitrarily broken. At least with the window borkage, ytou could just reload the window settings defaults, this is just not easily fixable.
FIX THIS ISSUE.

Won't be playing any of my existing characters until this gets fixed, although I might try rolling someone new. Hopefully they'll have a fix soon, and extend the winter event by a few weeks to make up for this. And if they don't, at least I have other games to keep me ocupied for now.

1 of 3 toons logged in since Winter Event started had his trays wiped, complete
with all his macros.
Unfortunately the one that was wiped was a L50 with 5 full power trays. 
Can't help but wonder once again if these guys even test their code.
In the meantime, they can cram the Winter Event until this is fixed.
I'm definitely not interested in trying to rebuild my macros and reload my power
trays on my other toons.
Maybe, I'd be lucky like Texas Justice and not have others affected, but honestly, it's not
worth the risk to me...
I'll find something else to do for a few days, and add yet another piece of evidence
to consider at renewal time.
Hope it gets fixed soon, and I hope other folks get lucky and don't get clobbered
by more shoddy code.

I know absolutely NOTHING about game mechanics and codings, however i DO KNOW that ALL my characters were fine before the Winter event patch last Tuesday, which very kindly added TWO USELESS TEMPS into my trays and REMOVED EVERYTHING else from NINE trays including 6 trays of macros.
DEVS: an update pls - are we going to be left with this gamebreaking for many bug over the Christmas holiday period?

Since the issue is linked to the Winter Event, and we haven't gotten a fix yet, I'm guessing we won't see a fix at all. At this point, we're bearing down on Christmas and the devs will be leaving town.

I have logged in several alts created this year to find their power trays wiped. I'm sticking to my old time alts for the time being to avoid the issue.

I had a character that I made about 2 months ago affected by it. But another character, made at almost exactly the same time, was NOT affected.

Canned my VIP sub today after thinking about it for a while. Logged in to move a few toons about and boom no powers/macros, just temp shite in my trays.
Made me really glad I did cancel. I'm pretty sure there's been a patch since they broke this and not fixing it... well that really does tell me all I need to know about the priorities of the dev team etc. It won't happen again if I restock my trays on however many toons are affected... Gee thanks, that's so helpful.
Must admit I was disapointed there wasn't a cancelling survey, at least that I'd hope might be read by someone. Oh well. Cya in the Free areas sometime down the line.

Haven't been hit with this one yet, but I haven't logged in much lately, either. I've played some old toons (including my first/main) and newer ones (created since the 2011 Halloween event) a few times with no issues. All have gotten the Christmas temp powers upon their first holiday login. On the other hand, my wife's main 'troller got zapped. She hasn't mentioned any others.
As much of a hassle as this bug is for folks, if it can reliably be linked to the Winter Event, then the event needs to be turned off. Which will, of course, involve another round of complaints. Still, "the Lesser Evil" and all that...

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I stopped counting at 20 toons with trays cleared (there are definately more). The loss of macros makes it even worse.
After /bugging - I received a letter assuring me that if i reorganized my trays they would not bug out again.
NOPE.
Not all mind you, but I can confirm that at least one toon with freshly sorted trays has cleared again.
