New AE Babies for Virtue?
No.
So you're bothered people don't know where a zone, that they could completely avoid, is?
Just ignore the tells if it bothers you that much. I think some of us have had to tolerate much worse things here.

@Cien_Fuegos,
1. No... frankly the Sewer Trial is built to assume your going to play it up through 22 at least.
2. I can dig that, more "single team" trials meant to boost XP and push players...
3. No...

I take it back NC SOFT is enough evil for anyone...
How about after level 20, they exit in some random zone?

Perez isn't a must stop place anymore. It's very skippable. And conceivably, someone that levelled to 50 as a villain might now know where it is.
I like the trial as is. It's crazy repetitive after a while, so people that go all the way with it earned their high level.

It doesn't help that the map is bugged to hell and half the time disables all of the useful markers including the zone exits...
...of course I would be very interested to see stats on the % of free accounts that have left Atlas park. I'm betting it's not that high.

Another way to fix it (if it's actually a problem that needs fixing - I have no sense of it one way or the other) might be to simply unlock a contact after the first time a character runs it (or after hitting 10 or something). After all, that's how people got funneled into the Hollows back before AE and radio missions - another entirely skippable zone, but people went there and stayed.
I have been playing the game for about a year and a half and I don't know how to get to: Perez Park, Brickstown, Faultline, Firebase Zulu, Boomtown, Dark Astoria, and many more without a base portal. That doesn't mean I haven't been to them, I'm just bad at remembering how to jump zones especially if it's something ouro or a train can't get me to (and half the time I don't remember where all the trains go).
I'm not an AE baby, I love playing missions and running the street, but I can't remember the map alot of the time.
So, I got over 4 years in the cities. Here's my 2 inf. I mostly play villains, and by most I mean like 99%. 2 things got me Blueside. 1) Going Rogue. 2) More people.
i would still be redside without both those things happening.
I am constantly trying out new archtypes in the cities, and new powersets, and new concepts. Now sometimes I want to do a lot of content with a character. I have solo'd every single story arc/every contact/every mission, multiple times. (diff toons, of course)
Most of the time when I get a new toon I want to 50 it, see if I like it, then I will iTrial it if I do. These days the fastest way to do that is blueside sewers to about 25, then mix in good mission teams when I can, and ITF. (for me) Now if I cannot find a hot running team after 25 I will go back to the sewers. The theory being its faster Exp then a mediocre team that is stumbling along, and way faster than spending a half hour looking for anything. A hot team 25-49 is always best. Unfortunately, in my experience, most teams have no idea how to shred. They either are completely lost, or the team wants +4/x8 for the "great experience" Then the team cannot handle it, and it goes slower. Sad, cause the same team could grinding +0/x3 and make bank exp in no time (imo)
6 months ago I was looking for/paying for farms. I would pay 10 mil a run without thinking if the farmer was good. The game has changed. What hasnot is that I will always be looking for a fast way to level my new concepts.
PS Since I am mostly a redsider I am still a little lost on Blueside. I have learned PI is accessed from Talos. (why?) and am learning mre allatime.
lol

as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
I like how you use an unsubstantiated anecdote to call for nerfs to something that's not a problem and then draw a parallel between that and something that legitimately was a problem but somehow makes the person who fixed it seem unreasonable. Very classy.

Ae farming and this is the same thing minus the ticket farming of course....and the drops arent as great...it is a legit problem because same as farms it someone getting to 50 using a easy mode. you can dual box it..you can farm it..and you can exploit it... Not everyone does it but enough people do to make it a problem when instead of seeing 1000+ content you just see one city and a sewer....

Why let it bother you. Why should you care if they are not seeing every zone in the game and experiencing any or all story arcs outside of the Sewer Trial. If you team with them in a TF or Trial it will quickly become obvious if they do not know what they are doing and in that case you can either a) kick them or b) make fun of them (my favorite).

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
It takes only a couple of seconds to give someone a helpful answer, regardless of who the person asking the question is and how they want to play the game.
If I saw someone who wasa 50 and lost (especially if they were standing nearme) I would check their badges. If they had 0 veteran badges I would give them 5-20 million, depending on how much I had on me and how much I was in a giving mood at the time. I always give at least 5.
You gotta support the new peeps, however they choose to play.
Typical internet control freak behavior here. No need for you to worry about what activity anyone does on their monthly dime. No need for play style vs the "other" play style nerfs called for by certain players wanting to control how "other" players play the game. Stop it.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Re-read what I wrote. Saying that you are acting with control freak behavior is not name calling.
I know its not comfortable being called out for this type of behavior, but its certainly not the typical internet name calling BS either.
Just stop worrying about what other people are doing to enjoy themselves in a game they pay to play.

1 no xp after level 10 in sewer trial... 2 more trials like sewer trial for higher levels 3 making the trial harder This is just off top of my head.if anyone has different solution please add to this thread. |
2. Eh, already enough high levle trials, but it wouldnt hurt to add another one.
4. Really? Raise the settings to make it harder then.
Global@SteelDominator
I don't think the point of 3 was "I don't consider it hard enough, I want more challenge!" so much as "Make it harder even on the lowest difficulties so that it's less desirable as a grinding ground."
|
I'm pretty sure he would have said, "I want more challenges". Thanks for playing the attention to detail game.
Global@SteelDominator
This weekend I had an odd experience. Heres what happened I was in Atlas Park talking to a friend, and a person came up and asked where Perez Park was. Ordinarily not a problem ,but this toon was level 50. And it happened three times with three different toons three different globals. I finally asked how they got a 50 and they said ran sewer trial 3 days in a row.
I know people have aright to spend their time anyway they want, but I have to ask is this productive for the game. I think they could be three solutions for this "problem" before posi blows a gasket and calls us exploiters again..

2 more trials like sewer trial for higher levels
3 making the trial harder
This is just off top of my head.if anyone has different solution please add to this thread.
