Signing up with Dr. Turgenev (Illusion/Storm) for this run.

For anyone who hasn't run this before, please review this strategy guide for the mechanics of the Trial as a whole:

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Behavi...Trial/Strategy

Some notes for general consideration on badge work:

1. There are four badges total to qualify for Master status. Two of these (Not on My Watch and Alarm Raiser) can be done easily, and at any time. In fact, most players are SO used to doing them for the extra astral merit that this shouldn't even be a goal for the runs, as you can get them whenever (and probably already have it if you've run BAFs before).

2. The two naughty badges are "Gotta Keep 'Em Separated" and "Strong & Pretty". The former requires rooting Siege and NS at their initial spawn spots, and keeping them there the whole trial. The latter requires killing the two AVs when ALL other support mobs are dead.

"Separated" and "S&P" really should be done separately, with each run focusing on one of these badges.

Besides having the right mix of +2/3 level shifted players with damage/debuff for AV takedowns, we'll need at least two tank types for each trial run (one for each AV), and 3 teams. The tanks should be able to take the AV-sized damage bursts AND know when to break off if they're too close to being Sequestered.

Quote:
Sequestering - Nightstar and Siege have a special attack they do during this trial called sequestering. Basically, if you gain too much of Nightstar or Siege's "attention" while you are fighting them, they will give you warnings, and then sequester you if you don't heed their warnings. You will see warnings for you in red letters, and a ring will appear around your character for each warning. You can also see warnings for others in white letters. If you gain a third ring, you will be "sequestered", i.e. unresistably held, for a fairly long duration. Even worse, the hold is a targeted AoE centered on you, so if you are careless you may cause other people to be sequestered at the same time you are. The key point is this: if you get a second warning, back off and kill adds until the rings fade.
Bottom line: You should know how to manage the ring warnings for ANY BAF run, but for how we'll be situated for each run, an AOE Hold on our gang will be a negative.

I'd say max out the total to about 18-20 instead of the full 24 if we can, to keep the spawn numbers lower and more manageable. (If we get more, fine, but if we hit lower for all the signees, we'd fare a bit better on the spawn counts.) Each tank team should dedicate to either one of the two AVs, with the third team dedicating to keeping the ambush mobs dead (they all spawn from the barracks Helipad area in the north). Four or five players should manage this, with the rest going to help with the AV kills.

Any suggestions, things to discuss? Chat it up here, I can amend any crap that I say.

Turg did a great write up on this but I also want to say that having a lvl shifted toon is very important. These guys will be +3 and +4 if you are not and will kill you in a heartbeat.

The lvl 54 bosses that spawn at the helipad will kill even lvl 53 shifted players pretty easy so its hard no matter what but lvl shifts help a ton.

I don't know if anyone spends as much time in PD as I do but maybe we can do an Incarnate trial night and pick one to do once a week to help people get some lvl shifts and loot.

I'll join with my brute, Black Knight Kallen.
Also, higher level shift is desirable, but it is possible to do it on a +1 incarnate as I had done on my other toons.
For Gotta Keep 'Em Separated, I suggest toons with higher lvl shifts or defense be placed on the NS team since they will be more exposed than the Siege team. The Siege team can use the building doorway to hide from the lasers. The NS team doesn't have as many places to hide.

Put me down for my Elec/Elec tank, E.

I'd like to bring my fire/fire dominator if you still have open spots. Level 50 +3, I've run BAF plenty of times on this character but I'm still missing the Gotta Keep 'Em Separated badge.

Just a reminder...

This is Tonight!

After discussing everything with Turg & Myrdinn the other night, we will be doing the Strong & Pretty run first followed by the Gotta Keep 'Em Separated run - we will complete the requirements for the other two badges on both runs for the additional Astral Merits.

I'll need to delay the Lambda run by a week Turg - my nephew's wedding is next Saturday, so I will not be on.

Great job everyone & thanks for joining - I will do a better post tomorrow - very tired after a long, bad, failed underground trial...

Ugh, sorry to hear it, E. I tried to requeue, but I just sat there, so I gave up (I set the group as closed originally). How far did you get?

I'm assuming the last AV - but never having run it before I cannot be sure.

I will say that whoever was leading did not really give very good directions for the group...at least as far as I was concerned...I asked a couple of times "what's the plan" without answers. Oh well.
