Since I'm baffled why that web comic would get censored, here are links comic strips about how Spider-Man gets Kraven out of his hair for a night and how Lois Lane has to put up with Superman, from Hark, a Vagrant.
Technically, the game's T for Teen rating is for "Suggestive Themes" and "Violence" and not language. Ratings aren't all-inclusive, it only takes one factor to change the rating of a game; but that doesn't mean that all other aspects which affect the rating factor into what's being rated. Kind of like how a movie rating of "R" doesn't automatically mean nudity. No matter how much we sometimes want it to.

Hmmm...one use of the word used, would of kept a movie PG, and with the current censors, possibly not bleeped out on a TV show.
However, the forum rule does say no profanity, and it would seem they consider that word profanity enough to take action. *shrug* Admittedly though, the comic could of likely done without using the word 
But sometimes I think David Willis likes to throw in the profanity to just throw it in.

Actually no... Movie ratings are crud. There is no standard for what is or isn't a given rating. Movie ratings are based on what ever a small random selection of volunteers say it is. As general morality changes (or if uptight people keep "volutneering") the movie ratings changes and as such a PG-13 title of today's era could be an R rating tomorrow or yesterday... That means if people stop being puritan nudity and "language" won't earn you a higher rating.

About R-rated movies, language and/or content greatly affects it. All it takes from a otherwise PG-13 movie to become R, is a single use of the f-bomb. Partial nudity has been allowed for PG-13, but full on nudity will make it R.
