And Psylenz said he was wrong and it looks like he was also annoyed for being completely misunderstood.

And is not our game a sandbox?

I am not wearing plaid? why would you even suggest such a thing
Dlancer was focusing on one phrase and used a psychological mental defense called projection and made it about PvP and not "flood a zone with overpowered NPCs and such".

You really are quite unclear yourself mixing plaids and stripes. Always be clear, never make a mistake.

Could be like it was on Exalted during Head Start.

They spawned HAMIDON on top of City Hall in AP!

Yeah. That was a good idea... NOT!

not by any definition of the sandbox genre i have ever seen. mmos are pretty distinct from the sandbox genre. and to clarify the "dog" is now excused for biting when mildly annoyed when misunderstood as well? thats a bit of a jump over being "kicked"

I shall have you know that any marmoset that i owned was both house broken and trained as a classical cellist, you, sir will have to look for some other reason the all primate production of pachelbel's canon was underwhelming. good day.

and the creme' brulee was overly hyphenated.

EDIT: cellist is spelled right, but it looks like its spelled wrong, that's going to bug me all night.

I don't identify with anything you said here.

Coke already tried that once in the late 80s, they called it New Coke and Coke 2. It crashed and burned, but in the long run differentiated their product from Pepsi.

I still like asking younger servers to get me a coke classic and watching the confusion on their faces.

by the way, why the hell isnt jolt still sold in a bottle? yes, the can looks like a battery, cute, now given me back my iconic jolt bottle with the red lines and the yellow lightning bolt, i have 49 hours of sleep deprivation to get started on.

Depends on why you kicked the dog. If it's the dog's fault it got kicked, it's the dog's fault that it was put in a position wherein it felt it had to bite back.

But for all that, the original post wasn't wholly indecipherable and the one sentence I stumbled over looks like it may have received the loving caress of a moderator.

Odd, I had no trouble deciphering it.

Sheesh.
What a way to paint the entire thread with one brush when only a small percentage of the responders did any kind of bait-responding. (Because that's pretty much what Psylenz is doing, baiting for trolling. That's why I responded - politely - to a specific point that didn't make sense to me.)

That is what 'not wholly indecipherable' would indicate, I think.

So, Dev-run zone events.

Devs spawn a bunch of NPCs, and, in most cases, the NPCs get wiped immediately by the player-horde.

Why is it usually an auto-win for players? Numbers. 50 Players v. 1 Mod dropping GMs by hand. And also because of stacking buffs. Players stack buffs in ways the NPCs don't.

So, the Devs have been upping the difficulty of these events: "Let's see if they can take 10 GMs at once. OK, how about 30 EBs? OK, how about 50 AVs?"

In most cases, the players continue to easily crush the NPCs.

But not in the OP's case apparently.

And he's very very very mad about it.

And the lesson learned is: Oh well.

This is pretty close, but oh well, CoH is putting level 50 Imperial Defense Forces and Praetorian OP content in mid-level TFs as well. this is due to the fact that they are overcompensating for the number of level 50++ on lower level TFs. This leads to zerg button mashing non-tactical non-strategic purges that drain inspirations from the auction house, SG base inspiration bins, and hospital nurse vendors. Some people live with it, oh well. I expressed my distaste for it. I am NOT getting a Prince Albert piercing to show off for the boys.

And the lesson learned is: Oh well, you don't get debt during zone events and since they are announced on the forums, Facebook and Twitter in advance of the event it is relatively easy to avoid it and if you missed those announcements the red ADMIN text will tell you what zones to avoid.
Fleshed out that last sentence a bit.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Okay first of all a zone event has absoluetly nothing to do with I trials, Sutter's TF or just about anything else besides.. the zone event. Sorry you had a misreable time but Zwilliger did one a week or so ago on VIRTUE and we all had a blast..Warwalkers (GM) variety and Hamidon seeds stretched across half of Talos leading to Founders Falls. From there we hit Eden and then the Hive where Zwill himself joined us in taking down the Hamidon.

Did I die a couple times.. sure but I spent a lot more time destroying IDF and Hamidon spawns than rezzzing and resting and I didnt hear a soul complaining.

If you don't enjoy a ZONE event.. leave and play in another zone or just wait it out until it passes. The event I spoke of in Talos probably only lasted half an hour before it moved on the Eden and then the Hive. There is no zone event that i know of that offers up huge XP rewards.. the Rikti invasions don't and neither do the Zombies. People do them for the badges, the accoldade (Rikti), the costume piece (zombies) and just to do something different that is fun. It's been a while but i was fortunate enough to be on line for, I believe, the 5th anniversay event. (someone can correct me if I have that wrong). Every giant monster in game roamed from zone to zone along with, depending on red or blue side, Recluse and all of his lieutenants (BLUE) or Statesman and all the Signature heroes (RED). Huge teams formed and followed along until we all had every single badge available. At one point there were three Krunos Titans just off shore on Peregrine Island and we attacked and took them all down.. I think it was 3 or maybe 4 Winter Lords appeared at once in Steel Canyon. It was like nothing they have ever done before or since. I am so glad I was home that day.

I can think of only one TF with the IDF, and it's a cakewalk. And the devs don't have to account for any 50++ in lower level stuff because they lose the +1 and other incarnate abilities.

I think the zone events are stupid and that is why I don't attend.

I think the Sutter TF is overly gimmicky but not all that difficult except for the Duray fight.

I also think that the usual procedure when complaining on the forums is to include the subject of your complaint in the thread title and clearly state what it is you dislike in your opening post. This might prompt a discussion on the subject of your dislike. What you wrote only prompts questions such as "whaaa?" and "are you ok?" and "has there recently been a chemical spill in your area?"
