Not bug, but horrible design

There's a fix for this in the works. You'll likely see it in issue 21.5. Instead of needing to claim base items multiple times you'll only need to claim them once. Then you can place the items an infinite number of times.
The veteran Base Items are now only claimable once too, instead of repeatable like they should be *sigh*

Thank you for getting word on that to us!
I hope the SG emblems/banners get fixed by then as well!

Oh, and I agree that the new way is not entirely to my liking, Minotaur.
Not sure where this sort of feedback should go, it's not a bug as such, but it's such a horrible piece of design that I'm having to delete and remake a character I've just spent a load of time on. I just need to get my level 3 to icon to save the costume.
The new method of claiming veteran rewards is 20x worse than the old one. The awards are not quite in order. You start at the bottom. You should get sands of mu or ghost slaying axe first. Then nemesis staff or blackwand. Then one of the others. You don't, you get NS/BW then other then SoM/GSA meaning I picked SoM off the wrong one so had to take GSA when I wanted nem staff. It was so much easier with the months linked to the clearly displayed award before. You can't view the whole title of the award without highlighting it (you could before), you can't get as many on the screen as once as you used to. I just find this current design takes 3 times as long and I never made a mistake with the old method. Please rethink this and either revert it or improve it. Being able to adjust the widths of the columns so you could see the whole title would help as would being able to expand the top part of the email window so you could get more than 4 titles in it at a time (I used to see a hell of a lot more). The claim all feature is utterly useless because I don't want the extra sprints cluttering up my powers screen, no way to delete those and claim the rest. All in all I see the way this has been implemented as a big step backwards from what we had before in both functionality and user friendliness. |
It seems to be better for people who like to "claim all" in one swoop, but for picking through it one-by-one, it is very unfriendly.
However you can adjust the width of the inbox columns to see the entire subject name. I know it doesn't look like you can, but go to the header at the top and pull it... voila! It does it.
I still agree that there are not enough shown vertically... it's very small and not great and I noticed the order as well.
At least we can change the width though.

Also if you have acension pieces unlocked, and you're not level 50, claim all stops because it gets tripped up on those instead of skipping the ones you can't claim... Meaning you might get a few from "claim all" but then you gotta claim them manually which can be a lot.

I'd love to see the ability to delete options we don't want (Sprint powers, non combat pets etc) Or mark them as read and throw them in a different folder, and the ability for claim all to skip the level 50 parts when you're not level 50, instead of just not working.

Good news on this particular problem.
There is an option, under general->email "hide unclaimable items" and then you can claim all.

That is very nice. Thank you for this.

Cool. Now poke the powers that be for us and get a fix for the claim all button to ignore level 50 items on a non level 50 character would be nice. Really sucks not being able to use claim all on a non level 50 just because you have incarnate costume pieces. (it will give you an error when it trys to claim ascension pieces) Or you could remove that stupid level requirement from those costume pieces since it really is a bad idea having it to begin with. Either or would be great.

Regardless, there is an option to hide the unclaimable items that will allow you to claim all.

I hope so as the one Good thing about the new system is that I don't have a million copies of them in the base menus after hitting the claim button a few times.

My gripe, however, is that when it comes to claiming the VR powers (some have bonus, some don't) you can accidentally click the non-bonus power too easy because unless you manually click each item to claim you may not be aware that the next claim-power window will have the bonus version of that power. This system needs some tweaking for sure as it did away with the ability to dismiss the "claim reward at a later date" option. Being able to hide/delete individual rewards would also be good on a per-toon basis.
Now we just need to be able to delete the Prestige Sprints before hitting claim all.

agreed, i only take those sprint if they thematicly fit a toon, otherwise they just take up roon in the enc screen.

Infact, would be nice if we could individually claim just the sprint we want. another thing that would be nice is to be able to hide the other sprints on the enc screen, some of my toons have 6 sprint and 5 of them just get in the way.
