What does a memory leak have to do with fixing typo/spelling mistakes?

I never said anything about it being "purchase only". That's your misinterpretation.

It wouldn't even have to cost any Paragon Points. We already have an item in the Paragon Market that costs 0 PP.

Don't try twisting my words to say something they aren't saying.

And what exactly would be the point in putting a bugfix in the market instead of just applying it, except an intent to charge for it? And again, they'd have to add extra code (and no doubt more bugs) just to make such a system work in the first place.

I have no idea where you got the idea that anyone was seriously advocating selling bugfixes, but it sure is funny to read you raging against it.

Have you seen the ghosts in the fort in Oakes? (Or floating around one of the villainside firebases in Bloody Bay?) Looks like one of those - or go check the announcements, there's a pic there.

I'm not "raging". Nor did I ever think it as seriously meant, or claim that it was. I just commented on the idea and some people got mad for some reason.

The first signature story arc just became available in the store. I got a pop up for the villain contact upon logging in a few minutes ago, but can't find him in-game as he doesn't appear in any of my contact lists.

Thanks for the /loc!

Edit: For those who haven't run it yet, it exemplars you back to level 20; just a heads-up.

It was pretty weak, in my opinion.

All this build up and it's just a 3 mission arc with a cliffhanger that span seven episodes? The cliffhanger and multiple episodes were not unexpected, but it's still somewhat annoying that the arc was so short, yet was given so much hype about being great new content free to VIPs. Consider: If it comes out one "episode" per month, this death arc won't conclude until March of next year!

To be honest, it hardly felt like a "signature story arc" when the game has level 25-30 contacts that have more involved mission chains than this. Saving Statesman from Tyrant feels like a signature story arc. This felt like an Ouro flashback with a "To Be Continued... (Next Month)".

Partial Character List:
LENINA 198-DELTA - 50+3 DP/Kin Corruptor (Main) / Captiosus - 50+3 Energy/Energy Blaster
Highlands.Hellraiser - 50+1 DS/Fire Tanker / SpazRat - 50 Claw/SR Stalker
Col. Gregor Aktaybr - 45 Robots/Time MM

Really? REALLY?

It's like 1/7th of the story; the writers aren't going to put all their eggs in one basket. They have plenty of time and missions with which to turn everything up. This arc was basically the set-up.

I enjoyed the story arc even though it was short. It had a unique map and 2 old maps that were made awesome by the inclusion of LAVA!!! Seriously that is easiest way to make any old map new again, just flood it with lava.

I'm not saying put all their eggs in one basket. Far from it. If they want to make it extend seven episodes, I'm all for it. But each episode, if it's a monthly affair, needs to be something challenging and memorable. This was neither. It was three-and-done, over in 30 minutes and ultimately forgettable, even with lengthy quest text.

They have spent the last three months talking up the Signature Story Arcs, and the first thing we get can barely be called an arc, at all, especially considering there is content starting in The Hollows that have far more epic and memorable arcs (see: Frostfire) than this.

This is more like a blip. Even if they had called it, appropriately, "Signature Story Episodic Content", I still would have expected more than a 3-mission, 30 minute blip. Nothing about these missions, lava notwithstanding (which, admittedly, I was kinda giddy over), made me go "man, I can't wait until the next one".

I just played it myself. There's a bit of dissonance in the Lost's attitudes towards magic. It only plays if this is taken as set before Angus McQueen's arc, which doesn't really jive.

I did not care for the Rocks Fall Everyone Dies trick in Act I. (I got to the door after snuffing the Load Bearing Boss only to get the HA HA message, then all the Pumicites I flew past killed me.) The ambushes in Act II were way over the top. Of course, I was on a level 10 Thugs/Traps MM (heroic). The final ambush would have been a bit much but I had some extra temp powers to fall back on. (Backup Radio and two extra attacks.)

Overall, not bad. We'll have to see how the rest plays out.

Speaking of the Collapsing part in the first mission...has anyone actually successfully found a way out in time? I've done it 3 times and always run out of time before I can find my way out.

Something to consider. Villain side arcs.

Pretty much, if they do content additions, if there's different content for each side, it counts the same as if there were the same amount of content co-op.

[edit/add]
To clarify, the devs consider it 6 missions. Even if 3 of them aren't missions you ever want to do. Certainly worthwhile to provide feedback on it still though.

Perhaps your expectations for this were simply set too high. *shrugs*

I'm looking forward to playing through these new "Signature Story Arcs" but I've never really had any expectation that they were going to be monumentally epic centerpieces for the entire future of the game. I've always assumed they were just going to be fun additional periodic content that I could enjoy along with the -rest- of the game.

Sorry if you thought you were going to get more out of it than that. Consider that this is a new feature that's just getting started. As time goes on it has the potential to improve quite a bit.

The devs have said all along that these will be three-mission arcs with different content for heroes and villains. I've been away from home and haven't had a chance to play them, but they are supposed to have pretty nice rewards. Also, we will get new arcs each month instead of having to wait three to four months for a new issue.

I don't see anything to complain about.
