I'd call them more of a gold. And, hey, blue and gold go together on heroes like, well, two things that go together really well.
It's goldenrod according to Zwakenheimerfuddyduddy.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

It reminds me back when mods were orange and devs were red.

I don't mind it, and it has good contrast against the blue, at least. However, if they're looking to differentiate VIPs from Preems and Freems, the titles might be a better tactic.

They are trying to implement a system so that they can have limited posting rights or limited forums in which they can post. That's one of the reasons for the colored names.
EDIT: You might want to PM Zwuferaltoiditisfunkydrivingcap about the color blind issues. They may not have occured to him.

The new color even overwrote my Stylish Zombie Skins (see link in my sig).
But, I soon took care of that. If you're using my skins, I've updated the script.

My new skins change all posters' names to one color, even the rednames. That's because the new html doesn't create styles for different poster types anymore.
So, if you want to say good-bye to the Goldrenrod, you have to say good-bye to the reddened names.

Although, with this new shade of yellow, plus the main blue color, the forum does look kinda Praetorian Police department-ish right now - so he's probably like that sort of change

The Goldenrod is much better than the Gold it started to be. Personally I like it but I can see the problem when not being able to tell rednames from players.

Is there no way for them to make it a player defined setting under forum options or something?
Zwill is color coding the ViPs since there may be some way for Prems and Freebs to post on the boards. I'm not sure if that means Anacrhy with them posting every where or just limited to certain sub forums. In the end ViPs are all one color, then Preems would be anther and then Freebs something else.
Currently the some of Devs aren't red either. Synapse and Second Measure are coming up gold as well.

Just to clarify right off the bat, I mean on the forum. I'm red-green colorblind, now I can barely tell the difference between rednames and regular posters. Also, it's an ugly color and clashes horribly with the blue background (and no, I don't want to use the Villain color scheme, tyvm).
