Briefly describe your experience in PvP. (If you were on other 8v8 teams list them here, any substantial experience here also) he 1v1s with me alot on guardian but he goes to rv on freedom

Name Captains you would prefer to play for, minimum of 3. If you pick 3 I can guarantee you a spot on one of the 3 you choose, if you don't then whoever drafts you will be final. Also when we get down to the last draftees, there might be instances where people have to be picked in order to keep teams even numbers, in this case the draft protection will not apply.

I wish to have myself removed from the draft, especially since the latest news I have heard about the actions taken about the draft pickings.
I do not wish to be a part of another 'league nightmare' like the last one I participated in.

Ok, if there is the possbility that people from the draft aren't actually going to be played by the team that dratfs them, then go ahead and count me out of the draft. If someone wants to form a team, then I'll join one of those, but I'm not going to bother going through the trouble of setting up to play in a League if we're not going to play. Thanks for your time.

I don't think it will be enforced for practices and you are really not entitled to play in officials just because you are on a team.
The final rules have been decided and will not be easy to change, especially when speaking in terms of draft rules and general team guidelines.
As some of you may have caught wind of, the following has been decided:
THERE IS NO RULE THAT ANYBODY ON ANY ROSTER MUST BE PLAYED, IT WILL BE AT CAPTAIN'S DISCRETION.
IMPORTANT FOR DRAFTEES: TEAMS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DRAFT, TEAMS WILL ONLY DRAFT AS MANY PEOPLE AS THEY WANT. Draft order will be serpentine in a random order decided by an in-game diceroll.

The best way to ensure that you will participate in the league is to join the core of a team or FORM YOUR OWN. You still have until Saturday to make a team, and you are more than welcome to look at the current free agents and pull from them.
The reasoning behind this is that if every draftee was forced to be picked, most of them would see very little playtime if any. Most teams already know who they want to draft, and it's generally only a few people. If I forced teams to draft every round until the pool ran dry, each team would end up with 5+ draftees, most of which would never play. This is something that I have talked about with all of the Captains, and they all pretty much agreed on it.
If you were floundering on the idea of forming a team, now is a good time to take action and make one. If you don't, I can't guarantee that you will be drafted or if you do that you will play much outside of practice.
The final version of the rules will be posted tommorow.

I realize the verdict may be unpopular among free agents.
Either way, it was decided via Captain's vote. If you want to play, you can still play, just form your own team. If you wanted to have a say in the ruling, you probably should have formed a team earlier.
People are tired of being forced to hold hands or mentor people in the PvP community. Some teams may take that upon themselves, and that's their perogative. I am not going to force people to do it.
It's not going to change unless Captain's decide it needs to be changed before the draft date, which I see being very unlikely.

I will "consider" forming a team if I can get a very solid co-captain and about 4 core people who really put a ton of time into PvP and are pretty serious. I'll attempt at teaching new people and will most likely play everyone as long as they are NOT tardaloo's.
But NONE of this until I can get a solid co-captain

I'd urge people not to shy away from the draft because of these rules. This league can and still will be a learning experience for newer people. If a captain picks you up, they will *want* you to be good enough to play in officials. Most teams I'd imagine will have a pretty big practice schedule, easily dozens of matches through out the week. Everyone will get play time during those. They are for all intents and purposes the same as officials, only at the end, the scores aren't logged. So while you might not start out playing for those 3 matches on whenever official night is, you'll still get your PvP in, along with it an opportunity to get better.
Because people don't *have* to be played, there is less harm in drafting people and I'd imagine unless you've made a pretty horrible name for yourself, chances are someone might pick you up. It never hurts to have a decent sized roster, especially given the current rules.

First off, let me say I'm really glad to see new faces joining the draft:
Chop, Arky, Z, and Bug you guys are awesome for being willing to step out of comfort zone and trying this type of team based pvp.
As far as some of the "issues" raised by 2 of the other new players to pvp, my first thought was: How did you 'catch wind of' these changes? And why would that person who told you about this 'change' want to inform you of it. Personally I would caution you from jumping to conclusions based on a single conversation with anyone.
This rule isn't a detriment to your ability to learn/get better/play in this league. What it actually does(in my opinion) is it prevents players from asking you to log off (so they don't have to play you),and give up your account (so someone else can play your character).
I think that new players can learn a lot by just watching and listening to the action during officials and getting in on practices/KBs and such. I will echo what Mage said "learn, get better, earn a spot" that doesn't just go for you, it goes for everyone myself included. With teams at 10 core, every core member has to be 'good' or they will be sitting matches.
However, if you are just using this rule as a excuse to quit the league... peace.

Maybe cause Braj was at the meeting and they asked him how it went? Why shouldn't they know do you suggest draftees not know they might not get picked up?
I have been trying to encourage them to form a team and grab some of the draftees and I see artic keeper is trying to reach out to Bitter so cool beans. I hope they can form something up and play.

I think my point is still valid, one conversation with someone does not mean that is how things are going to go down.
As far as the issue being them "not being picked up" vs "not playing" I would say that most people want to team with their friends. With the new rule in place there is NO reason NOT to pick up every single one of your friends, even if they have a glass eye and a claw hand. You can sit around on vent talking, teaching them how to pvp and they aren't a liability during match time. I would draft every single one of my friends if I was a captain.

Having a rule or statement that dictates that teams are not obligated to draft or play members of their team is preferable to not having the rule at all. It is also preferable to having a rule that team must play all members and must draft until the draft pool is depleted. It should be the captains' discretion who they want on their team and who they play in each match or even each practice. If you don't think you like the way the existing captains will run their teams, then, as other have said many time, form your own team.
I'm not sure I like this rule, I don't think I'm good enough to keep my core spot.
