  1. As if you do not have enough opinions already..

    From personal experience and of having played both games premium and free-to-play I would gladly compare the two for you.

    DCUO is a very beautiful game and has some very neat features when it comes to how powers are used and travel powers interact within the game (running on water for example). CO is basic cell shading and is very hard to get used to at first, however once you get that out of the way it does look decent at best. If you want something pretty, go DCUO.

    Customization hands down goes to CO, however this feature really only applies to those that pay for costume unlocks or pay the $15 a month to unlock more of the basic gear. DCUO on the other hand, although similar with the pay for unlocks, seems to supply more when it comes to costume unlock drops from enemies. If you want infinite customization, go CO.

    Funds. With a free account for CO, an account can only go up to 250g (gold) which honestly is simply not enough to buy the best Legion gear. DCUO, I honestly did not have a problem when it came to buying in-game gear and Level 30 higher end gear for my character. Both can be debatable.

    When it comes to powers CO supplies at least twelve or so different forms, however you may also choose Freeform (if you pay for it of course). Freeform is basically that powerset we always wanted, dat muthah regen blastah or whatever else you wanted to pair together. DCUO seemed very limited even with all of the 'weapon' choices (although CO has different forms as well if payed for such as blasting psi out of your hands or head). However unlike DCUO, CO did not seem to limit me to 8 power slots. In DCUO you had to choose your role, in CO I could mix and match depending on the fight without having to rearrange my tray. I prefer CO with its Freeform in this case. I will say however, although CO has multiple power sets to choose from, I have found most 'feel' the same.

    PvP in CO is basically dead and is very FotM (although what isn't). If you aren't some sort of regen, you will most likely find yourself defeated. The most PvP action you will get would be in the main City Circle where the 40's hang around instanced dueling each other. I cannot say much for DCUO PvP currently.

    Socialization in both games basically suck unless you have a friend from another source to join you. I could find teams a bit better in CO than DCUO however, if that means anything. However I was pretty much alone through 20+.

    I cannot really say what is best, I would honestly just try both and uninstall what does not tickle your fancy in the long run.

    If you love storylines and alien action, I would suggest SWtoR; the PvP is very fun and is not very fotm, customization is lacking but you can always create custom gear to help ease that, and it is soon going free-to-play. I have not played Secret World (gameplay didn't appeal to me) so I do not have anything on that. I have played LotRO as well, very fun game, however I am not sure on the way it handles for a complete free to play account as I was on a trial run before it switched to a free platform.

    If you like shooters, I am currently playing APB (All Points Bulletin Reloaded). It has plenty of customization and a form of social platform if needed.

    Either way good luck with finding another game!

    Farewell....

    Don't worry, I'll be sure to take good care of Keeper. Who knows, maybe one day I'll teach him how to spell his name correctly.

    You have me on facebook, I have the vent info, I have my usual stalkers if I am ever needed.

    Hope you have fun in GW2.
  3. If you cannot find a person in the range of level 5-10 for the Atlas badge, I may be willing to roll an alt on one of my other accounts to help you with that.

    Send a PM first when you are ready as I rarely look at the boards anymore.

    Incarnate Fun

    More or less I believe the original poster was wondering if people are still going to run 'Trials' despite the closing of the game.

    If anything I would advise trying to form your own using the channels you have available, help, and the new looking for group feature.

    I cannot speak for everyone else, but for myself personally I cannot find a reason to put forth an effort into Trials, Task Forces, Farming, etc. Especially since I know in a few months it would just be time wasted.

    Good luck however.

    I'll take it!

    I guess I could actually post a real farewell since I have calmed down a bit from the breaking news.

    I did not start my villainous life on Champion when I first started out, I was a Triumphian. Although it was fun while it lasted, I do not regret the removal of myself from the Furioso Family and from meeting Ka, and later Steel who welcomed me with open arms to United Heroes Brigade (and to be quite honest, without UHB I probably would had never stayed on Champion). My anniversary would had been four years on Champion, and many more if I had my way.

    I would give a list of the people who have had a great impact on my gaming or later became good friends with, however I certainly do not know the whole Champion server global list. It would be the people, whether brand names or not, that made this server wonderful in its own way. Although we do have our drama, what server does not. I realize that most of it revolving around myself is that of a personality conflict and basic misunderstanding. However I am sure we can all 'bury the hatchet,' just not into each other's heads like a few would had hoped.

    Oh hell, why not,

    @MAH: I am thankful that you actually took the time to get to know me and realize that I am not all that bad. To be honest, OtC became a 'second' family when UHB closed it's doors. Also without you I probably would had never created five million Stalkers and went further in League PvP. If anything, everyone can blame you for the Shark-O-Nator 9000.

    @-Acid: Thankful would not come close enough when it comes to our friendship. Although it may not come through, I appreciate your friendship more than anything. You are the person I can talk to personally without the fear of being judged or turned away. If all else, I am fortunate that you landed in UHB with myself, and my favorite Canadian.

    @Black Tabby: Canadia. <3

    @Destructosaurus (Ascend): I would like to thank you as well and would like to apologize for my certain behavior antics that you should not have to deal with. You are a good friend and I should appreciate that a bit more. You also owe me 20 DR. Q's in advance sir, I will not forget.

    @Craz Dragoon, @Wyngard: Although we had our moments Craz I am thankful for your friendship as well. Other than Maddie and a few others, you two would actually try to cure my boredom and pretty much jump on whatever I wanted to do.

    @Painstake: You can have a max of twenty touches. kthnks.

    @Braije, Sinny: Oh you guys... there are plenty of feelings revolving around butterflies.

    @Myrmydon: What can I say, this was a beautiful story of how slavery turned into a decent sized friendship. You sir were a 500 Million well spent. In all honesty however, I am thankful. PvP matches with you will be something to remember.

    @Marshman, Jester of Cowbell: Oh you two.. what more can I say. If anything I will surely miss the 8am phone calls and texts asking for my presence for a task-force, only to respond 4 hours later saying those simple words 'Sure'. I am not sure how we came to be, but I am not questioning it. Good things just happen.

    @Artic Keeper: You are fat and I am thankful for that. You, as well as a few others are the means of which why I continued to pvp, otherwise I would had never continued alone. I appoint you sir, El Presidente Artic (Arctic) Loco of the Rogue Islands.

    @Teh Artic: Although less fat than Keeper, you equally cannot spell. Thank you for the PvP support even if most of what we did would be laughable.

    @Philly Girl: -HUMP-

    @Johnnytick: Friendship thankfuls aside, I will surely miss looking over your Mids Builds to fix them, and the support you have given to me when I was on the Station.

    @UHB: It feels as though half of my family just got deported. Without you all I would had never tanked my first STF, get my first hero to level 50, or learn how deep of a connection we have for each other.

    @Masque: You will answer my emails and we will keep in touch.

    @Terra-Mage: The things I would do to a moose like you. Come back, stop running, I love you.

    No, I did not forget you Omeganchild, Shadow Wail, or anyone else that I may have skipped writing a book about; I was never much of a writer or do well with things requiring actual human emotion. As I have said before, it takes a community to raise a child and you all are my community through the good and bad. Saying thank you, appreciate it, will never be enough.

    Honor Before Glory.

    Glory Before Honor.

    Farewell to you all,

    @Sepultura

    @Benzin

    @Anthrax
  6. Due to recent events the entire PvP League has been diminished.

    I would like to thank everyone single one of you guys for giving it a good try, especially the newer people.

    If you want to still keep in touch and perhaps trade games, you know how to contact me.

    I truly will miss you guys. I honestly mean that.

  7. Crusherina

    Farewell

    Thank you Champion for the Good and Bad. However, I would like to thank those that personally made my game an enjoyable experience. I feel as though my fish died.

    And for those that were my 'second' family, you will not be missed as you will always be with me.

    If anyone from my Globals or those that I have teamed with still want to keep in touch, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll give you a means of communication.

    Good Luck, Have Fun.

    Here is a petition, although it may not fix the outcome, but at least give it a good fight.

    Quick Edit: Stages of Denial
  8. I will be sending out this information in tells as well:

    I expect everyone to be 50, done with your build and at least somewhat incarnated/accoladed by Monday Aug. 3rd (I expect full T4 Alpha and Accolades by Aug 8) and to attend two of the three practices scheduled this week (Friday-Sun 9pm Est @ Freedom). This is crunch time and we need everyone to be on the same page.

    For the brand new people coming into a league, if you feel as though that you would rather learn and help with practices than to actually go forth in a real match that is fine. I would be more willing to let you into practices and notify you when doing so, so that perhaps next League you will be more informed and seasoned.

    If you are unaccounted for or not ready with your toon by Monday, you have a greater chance of being replaced by someone who is ready. This is not a threat in any way, although we play to have fun this team is still serious and effort will be given 100 percent.

    Good luck, have fun.

    Training will take place on Freedom Server.

    At this time most should have their characters to 50 and a build ready. if one does not a have a build I would suggest getting one from Keeper. In regards to Accolades, I would be willing to help a transferred character with Accolades, I am currently stocking up on the Mayhems for the Villains on our team.

    If a character is not yet 50 or at least have half of its build ready, there will be a Saturday practice and most likely a Sunday depending.
  10. Updated Roster for Fat Kids:

    @Sepultura

    @Artic Keeper

    @Neuronia / Neuronium

    @XxBudweiser8xX

    @Heavenly Perverse

    @High Voltz

    @Tenjoy

    @Taunting Monk

    @___________

    @Craz Dragoon
  11. If Dark wants to give up his spot and feels that he will not be able to commit to the majority of the league, then I will switch him out for Neuronia. He will also be welcomed to practices and I will take the extra time to teach him more about his toon.

    Practices will be held Friday at 9 pm est. I expect a good chunk to be there, if you cannot make Friday we can do another practice Saturday. Due to the fact that many on our team are 'new', I highly encourage participating.

    Hello, Captain of Team Fat Kids here.

    With that type on attitude, then yes, I'm sure you will be quite terrible.

    I'll be honest with you, we may be deemed terrible by the other teams but at least we give it a good show. We like to experiment, a lot, and not that afraid to get our teeth kicked in. You learn more by failure than having an experience team carry you, like I have seen in the past two years of my Team PvP experience. Granted I might not know every single mechanic out there, but I do know a bit of common sense within the arena.

    I would be willing to let you into our practices so you may get a 'feel' of what it is like to be spiked sloppily or perhaps to teach you how to evade like a little girl, but that is all up on your attitude. I don't take those unwilling to sweat debt or cry when they get Soul Stormed because they forgot how to teleport out.

    Edit: In regards to your build, you may want to take another gander at it. For starters, you need to go for capped resistance, although defense may seem fine and dandy, psionics will tear that thing up (also if you were building for defense 45 is soft cap for regular pve play). Your KB protection is also a problem, does wonders when you have only one psionic thrust doing about 6pts of KB or so? But imagine a stacked spike, you'll be flopping like a fish. Even so, one Force Bolt from a Bubbler Def does 18 pts. 41 is your magic number. Fly might seem like a decent choice, but from my honest opinion, I would believe it to be a bit hard to maneuver in a team match and you will be 'air-grounded' too long for comfort trying to spin around getting to your target. Stick to Capped SS and SJ.

    Granted all of this information is provided by a very terrible Stalker.

    If you find that you cannot keep a stable connection during fights or find that you are having difficulties period, we may be able to put Neuronia in your place while you get things fixed. I am in no way getting rid of you nor do I know the extents of your problems. I myself currently cannot promise a stable connection and often lag to the point of whiplash. Think about it, you two can talk it out.

    If the rules are anything like last year's, it should be possible to drop/replace people if a 'slot' opens up.
  14. Neuronia, although I would love to have you, our roster is currently full. The only thing I can currently offer would be that of practicing with us, waiting to see if someone drops out early, or asking Kali/Evo if they will allow an extra spot on our roster because 'we are so fat'.

    Or.. or.. we can trade Keebler in for you.

    He's getting a bit big for his sombrero.
  15. Practices
    This week I would hope to at least get half of the team together so that we may practice roles, spikes, evade, and moving together on different map settings.

    Friday-Sunday seems to be the choice area that people prefer, however I would be willing to do any day prior to Friday if it seems more fitting (I am personally not available from 11pm-2am est Friday).

    I also encourage all to Zone Practice (Recluse's Victory) or join kick balls that are usually hosted by @Teh Artic, these do greatly help. You can also practice on random mobs on the streets if you are new to a certain style of toon.

    Side Note: Since my build is done I would be willing to help anyone else with Procs, Hamis, or any other set that may seem 'pricey' in your range.

    Questions ---> @Sepultura

    Currently it seems that these holds are holding longer than the average time of 4 seconds or so, these power sets (along with Poison for a time) are deemed 'broke' and are banned to level out the playing field for everyone. One may also say that Soul Storm is broke as well, but unlike the above mentioned holds, you can quite easily escape from a spike before the animation hits you.

    The Fat Kids want you.

    Our team is a mix hash of new to experience pvp'ers, and will not be the first pick for many (especially for the Finals). However, if you have not received any other offers from the other teams our offer stands.

    If you have any questions or concerns feel free to send me a PM.

    @Sepultura
  20. We have room for 2/3 people for our Roster if any are still interested.

    The start date has been pushed back to Sept. 9th and for now will stay.

    Once again, ALPHA only and I believe we have met our quota for Stalkers.

    NO DARK OR ELEC HOLDS!

  22. I do agree that the rules on bansies, roster size, and everything else needs to be put into place and minds made up before September 2nd if that date still stands. I would be fine with a later start date so that our team can actually get a few 'lol'practices in and so that 'you' people can make up y'alls table flippin' minds.

  24. I would need everyone that is participating to send a Forum Private Message of times when one would be avail. for practices.

    I would hope to get together at least once before the match on the Second of Sept.
