What the pancake are you talking about? O.o

There's a thread somewhere here on the forums that explains it. Pancake was used as a sort of filter for the F-bomb I think. It became a running gag/meme.
Sorry to change the subject, but could someone please tell me what this whole "pancake" obsession is recently? I've seen:
"Somebody pancakes in a trial" "I pancaking love you" And, the above "pancake it" What's up with this? |
And re: this threads derailment.
Personally...I think all the "Regen is gimp" comments, given how many times Regen had the nerf hammer smacking it all those years, simply proves one thing.
Global Defense Nerf: The Sequel. 'Nuff said.

It causes me a big problem.
that still does nothing for the argument that strong -regen effects makes a Regen feel gimp. If that's the case for someone, that someone has built their Regen poorly. Does having your Regen shut off (or severely reduced) cause a problem? |
My Regen isn't built with gobs and gobs of recharge bonuses, I'm just barely over the threshold of perma Dull Pain.
When I fight something like Longbow and I get hit with multiple -regen powers, even Instant Healing can't get me back to actually regenerating. It's not that the powers are that potent on their own that causes the problem, it's the probability that you will have more than one of them stacked on you at a time. A single -500 regen debuff isn't a big deal, but 4 or 5 of them IS a big deal. 4 is enough to shut down ALL regeneration, even with Instant healing active.
Since my moderate defense and high regen is what I rely on for most normal missions, getting my regeneration debuffed to nothing is a severe problem for me.

I very rarely activate Instant Healing. I rely primarily on my click heals, MoG, and of course my passive regen.

A single 500% -regen basically turns off my regen. Multiples mean I can't use Instant Healing. But since I don't rely on Instant Healing normally, that's not (usually) a big deal for me. The exception of course would be one of those (uncommon) times when I actually activated Instant Healing thinking it would help me and it gets turned off. Usually (but not always!) I know when something is around that's going to eat my +regen for lunch, so I tend not to expect IH when I'm going to lose it.
I think all my Regens have between 70% and 75% +recharge not counting Hasten, plus I use Core Spiritual for my Alpha on all of them.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just trying to explain how things work for my builds, which are based on high +Rech, moderate positional +def (but pretty high +def for a non-sword Regen), and moderately high +regen. (And of course, once I could get it, Shadow Meld. I didn't change much else when I got it, though.)

High recharge for a click-oriented set like Regen is as important as the Regen itself. I'm at permhasten before any Spiritual bonuses. Those who have watched me solo AV's have often commented that my attack chain with Broadsword is gapless which contributes greatly to damage output. And although its seldom mentioned, the boundless END native to Regens that take Quick Recovery ensures I never have to worry about all those clicks costing me END either. I think my END Recovery is something like 6/sec before all those IO bonuses kick in (Perf Shifter, etc.)
So did they turn Integration to a taunt aura?
If not... please do so.... thanks!!!!!!!
Your quote, was a think, beyond sarcasism.. Though.. if you take burnout.. and rebirth t4 +regen.. you can almost chain them together enough to have t4 rebirth -> IH (once you get to the minute mark) -> burnout (once IH drops) -> IH -> t4 rebirth... if i assume the recharges right, you should be able to about chain that forever... Maybe even just IH -> rebirth -> IH, but you'd only get the lowest bonus from rebirth by the time you hit IH again..
I'm doing napkin math at work, so it could be wrong. someone would have to do the recharge calculations for me.. Could be better then IH toggle, as it would cost less end, and give you a massive heal every few minutes, due to rebirth being hit..
