I was able to log on. However, I accessed the store and tried to purchase the new power sets ( I assume that's how they wanted it done). Purchase was confirmed, I lost 3000 of my 10000 points but still don't have access to the power sets.
Edit: Accidental FPARN. Zwill was just too fast for me*.
*waits for the "that's what she said" joke

Heh. Was making a character and suddenly powerset options were locked that weren't before. Instead of a Store Star there's a ? and a mouseover message about Account Server having choked to death.
Testing is working as intended, I suppose.

Don't suppose anyone that has gotten in can start revealing the preliminary prices form the store?
Really would like to know what they are thinking for Ninja/Beast run and the enhancement tray expansions....

I am getting the same message as others "public access is not allowed on this server"
In all fairness, I did just re-activate my account yesterday. But I am subscribing just to play Freedom so I will expect it to work soon. I am paying to play nothing at this time since I don't have regular CoH installed.
I'll buy anyone a beer who gets it working 
What is the ending time for this shindig? I'm only 40% updated on Beta with maybe another hour to go.

Had the same issue as others logged in alot powers locked but was able to make a character but after I typed in name and hit enter it froze tried it twice. Now i have to go to bed have to up a 4am........disapointing

Finally got the store to appear, but when I tried buying the new powersets, it took my Monopoly money, but didn't actually unlock the sets.
I cant even get in the game LOl
Got the same problem could log in, but lots of things were locked out and made a character but could not get in game because it told me that I had no available slots.
I could get to the server (after a wait) but could not unlock anything. And when I made just a regular character to run through the new intro, I got booted back to log in, with a message that it couldn't unlock the character slot I was using (The first one.)
I could not even access the market, it came up with a message that my session had timed out right away, and no amount of refreshing could fix it.

Ha! Finally made a character, went to register and it said I made more characters than I had availabe slots. Never mind it's the only character. Hilarious, and also depressing.

Which brings me to a very ugly thought about this going live.
If the store goes down, as it does many times in a year, players will lose access not just to any unfilled character slots, but a whole host of other "services":
Expansion access players paid for (Good Vs. Evil, Architect Edition, Going Rogue, Going Rogue: Complete Collection).
Archetypes players unlocked (if they haven't unlocked tier 5).
Incarnate system.
And that is just scratching the surface.

How can I test the game if I can't even create a character or buy anything?

I know, for a fact, that the store server goes down on the LIVE servers on a semi-regular basis. That isn't related to the beta access.
