Weeeeeee! Best ITF Ever!

Well, for me at least. I don't know how the rest of my team handled it, but today was the most fun I've ever had on an ITF. Why? Because my main character is an SS/Fire/Mu Brute. She likes to be standing in a writhing sea of enemies stretching as far as the eye can see, smashing them into fiery pieces of charcoal with impunity.

And the rest of the team followed the one Tank on the team like a flock of little baby ducks. So what does that mean for the big brute? SMASH! Of course! So while the rest of the team was off doing their thing I just went the opposite direction, smashing spawns, clearing objectives, pretty much on my own.

I even managed to get (I think) six of the ten cysts.

And then after coming over Lag Hill, I pull down Rommy and while the rest of the team is working on the other AV guy and someone debuffs him. I'm not sure, but aside from the one debuff my lore pets and I offed an AV seemingly on our own.

And to cap it off in the final mission?

I tell the team "You seven take care of the big guy. I'll get the other 300."

Sadly by the time Rommy was put down for good the counter was only around 90 or so, and I assume that maybe 30-40 of those were due to the spawns around Rommy. But those last 90 went by in a blink due to the tank and I doubling up the herding and dropping Fiery Death everywhere.

I rather like being a one man wrecking crew.

*hugs his purpled out Brute*

*doesn't mind the third degree burns*

THAT quote alone should be the character's bio. It just says it all.

It wasn't always molded, you know. Sometimes it was a vague, abstraction of the anatomy.

I'm reminded of a scene in the series "Belgariad" by David Eddings, where Ce'Nedra asks an armorer to make her... more pronounced than she actually was.

Think the guy laughed.

Last I checked, division of labor was still considered team work.

If I recall correctly, the blacksmith initially refused to make the armor...on general principle. I don't think the book actually explained how they convince him to do it.

Great memory for a fantastic book series.

Gonna second that...

... Without any sarcasm.

Always glad to see more people embracing "divide and conquer" gameplay, rather than hugging each other all the time and being generally inefficient due to overkill.

I generally dont care if a melee type goes off and do his own thing in mission 2 or mission 4.

In mission 1, when someone goes ahead, it throws my count off. The seers are freed in groups of 3, and I use that count to know when to progress to the next section.

Same thing in mission 3. If I lose track of one of the generals in the horde of mobs, I'll use the count to know when were done with the current general and/or group of elites. Ive seen ITFs where we've had to go back and hunt down elites after someone threw the count off.

It can definitely speed things up in mission 4, if a brute can handle the towers while the rest take down Rom. Again, depends on if the group has sufficient dps to do so. If you're taking down mobs in the courtyard while the group handles Rom, you're actually slowing things down, since the ambushes make a beeline to Rom's position and generally are mowed down by the AE.

I am really glad you had a great ITF, nice to see a I had a great TF every now and again.

I usually have TFs and iTrials like these when I'm hyped up on caffeine and being overconfident on my Bane Spider. The above combination also ends up with a LOT of words forced into the team chat window mostly by me.

Totally and utterly agreed Krieger. I do this with any character I have the chance to, Blaster, Kinfender, Crab.. list goes on, obviously with varying success ;3

The leader didn't care, as from the start this was described as a "kill everything" ITF.

Be right back, raiding my bookshelf...

She made him consider it an artistic challenge, after calling it a 'costume' made him throw the plans away.

That whole thing was the lead up to a crowning moment of awesome for Ce'Nedra.

My fire/Shield scrapper tries to do the same things on ITFs.

The other day while in the 3rd mission, when we got to the Computer I went up myself and took on Req and Rom. The team took down the computer faster than I would have liked but I had pretty much beaten Req when the team joined me.

I love it when a team leader lets me go and try stuff on my own. Of course thats if the team will do just fine without me.

It was Ce'Nedra. She bullied him into it.

The only bullies in the story bigger than her were Polgara and the original Gorim.

You forgot about Poledra. She pretty much got things how she wanted whenever she was around. Usually by staring at the person until they were too uncomfortable to say no, if I remember right.
