Uh, Statesman?

Anyone else take a look at that banner there ^^^^^ and feel States is giving the CoH logo the crazy-eye? Almost as if his eyes are focusing in two different directions?

Somebody poorly touched up his left eye. I'm amazed that version made it live.

And this surprises you?

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

You're just now seeing this? States has had wandering eye since day one... which is probably why they're changing the CoH sign on to be Freedom only... the Hero one, his eye is *really* skewed.

Not that there's anything wrong with it, if he can fight with it, hey, whatevs. But you'd think he'd be vain and have it fixed...

Which brings the question... if he's so tough, can he be operated on? I.e., Superman, if he had a lazy eye like that, probably couldn't be operated on unless you Kryptonited him... and I somehow doubt that would be cool with him. Trust issues and all.

Then again, maybe the Justice League could protect him while he's under the knife...

Meh. I find it funny he's clean shaven.

Yeah, I've seen that episode. I find it hard to believe that a simple hand mirror, or wall mirror, can be used in that way. His hair holds up multiton rocks with a single strand. I am thinking the laser eyes would melt the mirror.

Further, if that's all his hair would need, then his skin would be vulnerable, because (and this is assuming similarity in density akin to humans, percentagewise) anything that can cut hair can cut skin.

And so all one has to do to kill him is to get close enough to use bolt cutters on his jugular. Kryptonite not needed. (Superman IV)

So while it's cute, I don't think that it's possible even his laser eyes would really work in "reality", but hey, it's comics. Retcons and resurrections and such. Yay.

Who's cutting? Superman burns his hair. One can wave one's hand over a candle flame that would burn a piece of hair waved over it in a similar fashion.

When this was addressed in the comic, many years ago, the mirror was a polished piece of metal from the rocket that brought him here from Krypton.
