ParagonWiki on your iPhone or Android mobile

The iPhone/Android app "Wikipanion" (search for it in the app store) just added a feature that will let them add any MediaWiki site ... and this morning, they added ParagonWiki to the list of supported wikis.

Now, if we could just get a worthwhile Mids equivalent for iPhone or Android.

The one currently on the iPhone app store doesn't even have IO support.

Sorry, can't find it on the Android market.
And the page for it seems to show it as iPhone/iPad only.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Yeah, nothing shows up in the droid app search. I was all excited, I just got a droid the other day and still looking for apps to add onto it. Thought this would be a perfect one.

That is a cool feature. Took a bit to figure out but I now have it setup on my iPod Touch 4G.

Edit: typo

Is this only for the paid version of the app? I can't find an option for it in the free version.

Not sure of who your provider is, but if you plan on using your phone for mobile internet (and don't want to pay the premium "wireless hotspot" fee), I'd recommend EasyTether.

Plug your phone into your computer, it sets up as an Ethernet connection and voila! Free version doesn't work on https sites or for gaming. But the $10 paid version does.

Google Wikipanion and the first link takes you to their website.
From there, go to the download page. The free versions are there.

That's uncanny. TonyV and I were talking about that just last night.

Oops found it in the free version. A healthy dose of RTFM was on my plate for today.

If you are looking for it, tap the W to the left of the search bar, then tap Manage Wikis. Filter by Games, taddah.

Sweet! Got a WP7 phone so I can't make use of it, but the more there is to benefit COH, the better!

I'll be honest - what would be cool is a Kickstart (is that it?) for something like this on all the major smartphone platforms and/or making a definitive mobile website version of the Mids supported by all modern mobile browsers (ie, platform agnostic) so anyone using anything ranging from iOS to Blackberry to WebOS and more could use it

Might be dreaming since I have no idea how much work that would be

I've had Wikipanion for a long time and didn't even know it had this feature. Thanks for the heads up!

If I read the patch notes right, you didn't have this feature until very recently.

For the uninformed, like me, how is this different/better than just bookmarking the Paragonwiki page on your smartphone?

Just searched the Droid market (I use a Xoom) and found no results.

I would Love to have a character builder app. I'd even pay for one, if it actually worked well.

Content might be better formatted for the phone, and if you save pages/content it'll be faster. Plus, no need to redownload, in case you're near your data cap, no coverage, etc.

This is pretty bitchin'. I can have Paragonwiki, the DC wiki, Marvel wiki, Star Wars wiki, Star Trek wiki, and various other game wikis which I won't mention here, all formatted for my phone's screen.

That'll do, Wikipanion. That'll do.

Cool, will have to try it.

I'd pay or donate 10USD (price of booster) for an i-app mids. at the least.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

I would indeed pay for a good hero builder app for iPhone, but not $10. Something like $1.99 would be reasonable, $2.99 at the most.

I've always wondered how people come up with what they think a good price is. In this case I'd pay more simply because not all COH players have an iPhone, not all COH players with iPhones use character builders, etc. All in all its really a niche product.

Now, one for a much bigger game with, say, a few million players (and there are a few of those)? $10 is more than I'd go for. Free with ads to $3 sounds okay-ish to me.
