Possible clue to next boosterpack?

Unless he was being a little more cryptic & they're upping the Max level to 80 from 50?

Personally I'd love an 80's themed booster pack just as long as I could equip my toons in Tacchini bottoms or Farah Trousers, Puma G Vilas or Adidas Samba, Lyle & Scott or Diamond Pringle Jumpers & Fila Rollnecks! Throw in a couple of Rave dance emotes like making shapes or dancing with invisible maracas & I'd be in heaven .... oh & add a Voodoo Ray to the boombox too whilst you're at it!

So Flock of Seagulls-style hair and fingerless lace gloves?

On Liberty:
Aardwolf - level 50 claws/invulnerability scrapper
Anchor - level 50 level gravity/forcefield controller
Dr. Dusk - level 50 mercenaries/dark miasma mastermind

I thought Z was a AR/devices blaster? (At least, that's what his character and all the NPC's he showed up as were during the invasion.)

Ok, wiseguys. My vid card crapped out and i have an old one substituting until the new one gets here, so i turn down the gfx to keep it running and loading quicker. :P

That being said, I lived through the 80's, and have no desire for an 80's booster.(I've bought all the others)

Awful, awful decade

80's wasn't that roughly the silver-age of comics? Maybe we're getting some silver-age pieces.

Forgotten how bad the 80's were? Watch Hot Tub Time Machine.
The 80s were great. I'd take 'em again.

Though... booster pack? Real "glam" hair - for males? Keytar powerset? "Greed is Good" market/INF bonus? Single glove costume piece and "moonwalk" temp travel power? "MTV" temp power that plays actual music?

*shudders*

If the next booster features the tragic fashion/hair of the 1980's....Let's just say it won't be just the first booster add on I skip, I will see if I can reconfigure the game so that the substitute items are displayed in their place, sparing me having to look at them.

What...I just really like the 80's.

Now excuse me, I need to go and peg-roll my acid wash jeans while wearing my Hypercolor shirt and listening to my brand new Sony Walkman Cassette player.

/notes I'll take 80s "tragic" fashion over 00's "can't keep my pants up" looks any day.

Silver age is mostly 60's 70's. Reasonable arguments could say it starts sometime in the 50's. But either way, the silver age occurred when superheroes re-emerged as a focal genre for comics after crime, war, horror, western and romance comics had grown to dominate the medium in post war America. There was also a very distinct limited color palette throughout the silver age and offset plates were printed at a lower LPI resolution to limit spoilage. These factors could be credited as much as the era's fashion and mainstream culture for the distinct bold style of silver age hero and villain costumes.

This changed in the 80's as color separation technologies advanced, making photo separation increasingly affordable for the medium which was eventually replaced by photo-digital and 100% digital separation during the 90's. At the time, the 1980's was considered to harbor the second golden age of comics when these more detailed graphic styles, broader color palettes (heavy with subtle earth tones) became coupled with grittier revisionings of classic silver and golden age characters. The second golden age is more commonly referred to now as the diamond age and if I'm not mistaken also includes most of the 1990's.

The history is obviously more complex than this when one includes the rolling influence of underground comics that always seems to lag the mainstream comics by at least a decade. i.e. themes in underground comics in the 1960's not making their way into mainstream books till the 1970's. But that's a horse of a different color.

Short of it: silver age is definitely 1960's & 1970's.

The "Silver Age of Comic Books" was roughly from the mid-50s to the early 70s, or if you prefer from Showcase #4 to the death of Gwen Stacy (I'm a nerd, so sue me...)

EDIT: Got scooped, appropriately, by SilverAgeFan

My favorite part would be the Jem and the Holigrams, Over one shoulder, super long, knee length sweater...with a big belt!!!! (If in the baggy shirts section I could even have a bra strap showing!!!)

Complete it with big hair and giant leg warmers and well...HAPPY! Day!

It would be truely outragious!

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

I would totally go for that... since that of course would have to herald the upcoming Moonbase expansion.

Funny thing is, here in NYC, the 1980's as inspiration for new fashion has pretty much already come and gone. Did so midway through last decade.

And now you have people like, IIRC, Keshia Knight Pulliam singing the praises of the transitional years of the early 1990s. In my 'hood, starting to see afro-punk give way to "daisy age" revival. And that's just a hop-skip-and-jump away from Deee Lite... (which in itself was all a twist on stuff from a particular part of the 1960's)

Looks like he enlarged the picture too much..but what do I know, I have not played with Photo manipulation since I started playing this game..but when I did, and I enlarged a pic too much, I seem to remember that I would get results that looked like this.
