FEEDBACK: Steampunk costume parts.

I was excited to see this come out. I think steampunk looks awesome. It's one of the things that caught my eye about Girl Genius, my favorite webcomic. And it'd be one thing if there were some stylistic things I disagreed about, or if the pack wasn't exactly what I had in mind. In that case, I'd buy it anyway just because it was close, and to support NCSoft.

But this.......

This is just bad.

This honestly feels like some slapped together piece of garbage that they shoved out the door so they could start milking the customer base as quickly as possible. Given that's not NCSoft's usual method of operation, I'm going to assume that my perception is a mistake. But that doesn't mean I'm going to shell out money for an add-on pack with obvious flaws that are the result of the people who made it not taking the time to solve problems.


And YES, I'm a male player, I'm straight, and I don't leave my female toons half dressed. Give the girls more covering costume options!

Nthing the gender proliferation requests.

Please, please, PLEASE let my female toons have a badass coat. Gender-seperating different pieces is not fun at all.

Adding myself in as someone who thinks coats should be available to females.

Cut the ridiculous costume segregation out, art designers.

Also, has anyone else noticed that absolutely everything in this pack seems to take colours differently than most older costume pieces? If you put the steampunk skirt, for example, on a character and then attempt to make anything other than other parts from the pack the same colour on the top, it's literally impossible. There is absolutely no way at all of making them match up. A belt will cover the line where one texture meets another, but there's absolutely no way of hiding the fact that the two pieces are blatantly different colours.

And speaking of textures, it'd be nice if we could get a version of the steampunk skirt that has the same texture as the older skirts. So it can be used with non-steampunk tops without looking out of place. Please?

I also noticed that development of costume pieces in issues has pretty much come to stand still since they started charging for these. I would love for them to take a look a champions and copy some of their tights patterns. We haven't had any decent classic super hero tights patterns in ages.

I did buy the pack:/ yes I like it but total agree with the jackets need to be for females too. Also I can not access all the costume parts they say we have from the pack for the female.

A friend has asked me to say that the Steambra and the corset clip with the trenchcoat.

(No, this friend doesn't live in my head.)

Subscribing to this thread so that I'll know when certain issues are fixed or even addressed with the Steampunk Booster. I want it, but there were enough "undesirables" at launch (baked-in colors not matching up, untintable hat hair, almost-untintable weapons, serious clipping issues, no coats for females, etc.) that I have yet to purchase it. And this from the guy who bought every booster within 2 or 3 days of release (never the first day, to avoid the stampede).

Except for the emotes pack. Very rarely use emotes, and will not spend even Paragon Points to unlock them.

I want the Steampunk pack, and am happy to support the game, but I'm not going to be willfully blind on either. These types of problems, to the best of my knowledge, and the Beast pack notwithstanding, didn't exist in previous packs. When they're fixed/changed/corrected, then I spend my money.

Hopefully that will be soon.
