I got an Empyrean on 2 BAFs in a Row last night, and I know we didn't complete the badge list on either. I thought there's was a 20 hr cooldown as well, but there they are in my incarnate salvage box. So did a few others on the league. Maybe it was a bug in action... *shrug*

the side badges only award uncommon component and the MO badges award a rare component
i do not think there is any way to get more than 2 empyreans a day (which is ridiculous considering the costs in empyreans to get a very rare component, which is 30, at least you can get them faster than alignment merits for purple or pvp IOs lol)

I'm currently sitting on 19 Emp Merits from mostly running BAF.
Currently on Virtue:
Jinrazuo - Crab Spider
RWZ All-Pylon Solo Run
Strong and Pretty, the Baf badge, awards a Emp merits instead of an astral if you already have the badge. I know that for a fact. I think 'Gotta keep em Seperated' does the same.
I'm not sure if any of the Lambda badges also award emp merits (Antiacid, Lambda Looter, or Well Stocked) but as those are arguably much harder then the baf badges, i would think they award them as well.

I had already done a BAF in the 20 hour period and I already had the Mo badge at the time. We got all the badges (well, not me, since I already had them) in that run.
I have heard from other people who claim the same.
Might be a bug then, all I know is that I did get that emp merit under those circumstances, and I'm not the only one.

I succeeded a Master BAF today (only badge earned during the run was Gotta Keep 'Em Separated) and it did not award me a bonus Empyrean Merit.
Hmm, i almost always get an extra emp merit from Strong and Pretty. It may just be just 1 badge that does it... very odd (i've been getting 3 emp merits a day by getting leagues together for strong and pretty runs)
I could be wrong, but I thought I had gotten an emp merit in the middle of a trial after earning one of the Mo badge requirements. I did not have any of the other Mo badges. It could be that there is a random chance any time you complete one of the badge requirements.
If a badge is awarding an extra Empyrean Merit, then it is a bug. Chances are that someone accidentally set the reward to Empyrean when it should be Astral. Empyreans seem to be the common daily reward that exists in most MMOs.

What are the rules for when these things drop? They seem kind of random. I had heard someone say you could only get 2 a day, but I've gotten at least 3 within 2 or so hours of playtime, so that must not be true (or it was bugged).
Anyone have more info?
