Another FREEDOM MoLambda is being attempted on Sunday, April 17th

Strategy Comments:

These are the badges we're trying to get and will award the MoLambda if we achieve the following:

Synchronized - Destroy a weapons cache and an incubation poid within 2 seconds of each other during the Trial.

Well-Stocked - Acquire 10 Pacification Grenades but don't use them. The system will say you have a Temporary power. Call out when you get this
message.

Antacid - Acquire 10 Acids but don't use them. The system will say you have a Temporary power. Call out when you get this
message.

Lambda Looter - Acquire 10 acids and 10 grenades but use none.


Detailed Strategy

Phase 1: Clear the streets, courtyard, and turrets before going inside to the Elite War Walker Boss. This reduces allies to Marauder and give us room to move freely during combat.

Phase 2: Team one will get the Grenades. Team two will get the Acids. I will try to post locations for all today.

Phase 3: Destroy the reinforcement portals then attack Marauder.

I think I can be there. Dr. Turgenev (@Turgenev), Illusion/Storm Controller, Lvl 50 +3.

Some strategy notes for you that I wrote up in another thread. Feel free to peel apart, mix and match.

1. It's bugged to where you HAVE to get the following three badges at the same time in order for ALL of them to qualify:
  • Well-Stocked (acquire 10 grenades AND 10 acids but don't use them)

The fourth badge requirement awards independently and is not bugged:
  • Synchronized (destroy a weapons cache and Incubation Pod within 2 seconds of each other)

2. (RUMOR) It's possible that the badge check daemon goes in to "count" how many temp powers people in the league have before it permits the badge reward. This means that if you get the power, don't delete it from your power list (but you CAN remove it from your power tray).

3. (RUMOR) This also means that, if someone has a grenade/acid in their inventory, and they happen to disconnect during the final few seconds, the badge system may not reward the players because it was unable to "count" the temp power in their inventory.

4. (RUMOR) This ALSO means that, since you can get the above-ground weapons drops, counting those might also interfere with the badge count for Master. Best advice here is to don't even bother to make the attempt on those caches - don't destroy the containers, and ignore them and their mobs completely.

Having said all of this, all the Master team needs to do is the following:
  1. Don't die. Death means downtime, and maintaining a steady DPS on Marauder is vital.
  2. If you're not lvl 53, you should be. If you're 51, it's a start; but especially if you're a pet herder, your pets will be at significant disadvantage vs these opponents. Get to lvl 53, and you diminish those negatives.
  3. Marauder appears to be vulnerable to Psionic damage. Seer pets are like MM pets: Target them on Marauder each time to help your DPS. The more Psi damage you have on your team, the easier this will technically be.
  4. Once everyone has the temp powers, ignore 'em, but have them parked and ready to throw "just in case" (I'll explain afterwards.)
  5. Bum-rush Marauder. The killzone the players will unleash on him will vaporize any enemy mob that enters it. He also hops away regularly, taking you away from any clustered mobs. It's actually amazing how much you can ignore the mobs once you get a good rhythm going.
  6. ...if you're in the last 30-60 seconds and you've got no hope for Master, you might as well pepper his butt with grenades to break Enrage. At least you can try to get the trial win reward. Do this ONLY with FULL team consent, however.

On a side note, the Support Article lists slightly different requirements as well:

The main difference being the two badges are asking us to get one power OR the other, not both. That could be why some people are running into issues with these badges to begin with.

Master-Blade, Teal Tabby, or Robin Rogue (all 51)

About the grenades, did you have 1 or 2 members(maybe the team leaders) hold all of the grenades(did you try to pass them around?). Also, do you want to lead one of the teams?

1. Depends on the team. On the most successful (but failed) runs I've had so far, we trusted the players to not kick it off, with universal success. YMMV however depending on the players.

2. I could head up a team, but I'm still a noob as to where the boxes are located for the debuff weapons (I just don't know where). Kotchie's a pro at this from what I've seen, he'd be a better resource. Dr. Turg can inviso through and be a spotter for boxes, however. I have a macro that lets me find the blinkies relatively quickly if they're on-screen.

Could be. I know that, singly, the individual badges are not awarding; and from the few people who got it, they said they got all three at the same time, which would indicate to me that the various requirements were not exclusive of one another, unlike what that support article shows. My assumption is that the support article isn't worded properly to clearly indicate the requirements for the badge.

To be more clear, it's a difference of:
  • Support Article: Get 10 of X, get 0 of Y, to earn Z badge.
  • Experience: Get 10 of X to earn Z badge.

I could be wrong on that, but I haven't been in a win-encounter yet to personally verify the circumstances. Beef_Cake or Kotchie might be a better resource.

EDIT: Looks like the bugged status of the badges is verified, and the REAL badge requirements are what's listed in the support article. Sr. Designer Baryonyx posted this Q&A article discussing how the badge set is intended to be rewarded. Seems to me it's almost easier to try to earn this now. Last night's hotfix did NOT address the Master badge issue, so now's the time.

There are now 4 more Incarnate slots.. 2 of them that have another level shift at Tier3.

I will be on 50 Stone/Stone Brute if you have a need/spot open.

I have all T-4's and the Seers Pets (I primarily use the Warworks but can switch if you need) if needed.

Already aquired the Mo badge...just trying to help if need be.
