As a reference, Sr. Designer Baryonyx posted this Q&A article breaking down how the encounter is SUPPOSED to run. Seems to me it's easier to try to get Master now in one shot, than do it in three separate runs. Yesterday's hotfix did NOT change the encounter yet, so we can still run this as previously planned.

Quoting the relevant portions of how the encounter is designed to run below. This is NOT currently live, but will be as soon as they "fix" it.

Badges
There have been a few questions about the Well-Stocked, Antacid and Lambda Looter badges and how they are acquired. The hints for these particular badges don't go far enough in explaining the details. There’s additional confusion due to a bug where one of the badges is improperly awarding the other two. Both of these issues will be rectified soon, but until then here's a quick guide on how these badges are intended to work so you can be prepared when the bug is fixed:

• If your league is working on the Antacid or Well-Stocked badges, the objectives are:
  • The league gathers all 10 of one type of power without acquiring any of the other. The league can enter the other area, but cannot actually destroy any of the power-granting targets there.
  • After the Sabotage phase, the league does not use any of the gathered powers.
  • Also, during the final battle, the league does not make use of the Shipments to acquire any powers.
  • More succinctly: the league gathers all the powers in one area only within 5 minutes and then completes the event without using any of the gathered powers.

• If your league is working on the Lambda Looter Badge, the objectives are:
  • The league gathers all powers during the Sabotage phase (all 10 Acids and all 10 Grenades).
  • After the Sabotage phase, the league does not use any of the gathered powers.
  • Also, during the final battle, the league does not make use of the Shipments to acquire any powers.
  • More succinctly: the league gathers all the powers in one area within 15 minutes and then completes the event without using any of the gathered powers.

• If the league gathers one of both powers, the intention is that your league can only attempt the Lambda Looter badge. The Antacid and Well-Stocked badges are actually the harder pair of the three, since both have the same basic requirements of Lambda Looter, but also feature an additional time pressure of gathering 10 powers in one area within 5 minutes.

Just a clarification, Antacid and Well-Stocked are WAI, it's Lambda Looter that's bugged.

I may or may not be there tonight. My SG (the husband and his friends) are wanting to run a TF that might run late. It really just depends on whether the other members log in on time or not. And they are known for not logging in on time.

If I can make it I'll be there in advance. If I'm not there at least 10 minutes early on Dyanthia, then I'm not going to be there.

Update: I just got this badge earlier today, so if someone who wants the badge is currently on the alt list and wants in, I'll give up the seat for them. If not, I'll be happy to help everyone with Doc T to try to ensure the win.

Well, one or two of the players got a chuckle tonight. They thought they would be cute so they decided to use the pacification and acid grenade. As a result, it screwed me and a lot of others on the team out of four badges. We were just rocking away and someone thought that they would screw us. Don't worry...I know most of the people on the team and I know that they didn't screw us over. The ones that I don't know...well, time will tell.

I've never understood the humor behind intentionally screwing someone over like that. It's the same kind of humor that takes joy in hurting others. Perhaps one day your mother will be walking down the sidewalk in the rain and I might think that it would be just absolutely hilarious to drive through that huge muddy puddle she just happens to be standing next to.

But, you know what? We're going to run it again without you and this time we'll get the badges...just like your mother can take a shower and dry off. Doesn't make a whole lot of difference as there is no way you can stop us next time.

Residentx_EU, I would like to urge you to run it again the same time next week. Only this time, everyone on the team has to be vouched for by a trusted member of the team. Additionally, have everyone pass their grenades to the team leader. Those that don't will earn a permanent place on my global ignore list.

Here's the map of the Weapons cache and containment chambers. When I took this shoot I had 10/10 weapons destroyed and 7/10 containment chambers. I had a 10/10 and & 10/10 but I hit the wrong key and didn't record it. Sorry :-)

I really hope, optimistically no doubt, that what happened was by mistake, albeit I highly doubt it. Since I normally run with the 'Pug' crowd since I'm not in any uber-leet circles and enjoy the thrill of a random group of strangers, I really hate to see things like this happen, when so much organization went into it. Especially since this group comprised of a lot of Freedoms most trusted names, I really hope this doesn't push anyone into the 'Elitism' mindset that I see happen too often, the pompous "I only team with SG mates."

I know this setback obviously doesn't encourage my statement, but I really enjoyed running with you guys despite not having done so very often in the past (Had a lot of 'lol' moments, good to see people with the same type of humor as myself). Don't completely alienate, just be....cautious. And obviously be more vigilant of the "lob hand back to throw a grenade" gesture so we can one-star where appropriate, I know I will. (Just as I'm always on the watch for the "keypad on the wrist to open Ouro during a Hami" emote).

As Scrappers are almost always the ones NOT needed in Masters runs, please keep me in mind for any future runs. It's not likely I'll get this from anywhere else, unless I'm lucky enough to find a team that needs damage rather then debuffs. While I'm obviously one of the ones you guys can't necessarily vouche for since I'm not one of the 'regulars,' I hope that at least a quick look at my badge list would show you I am serious about doing this right.

Giving an opinion here.

1. Signees here agree to a Master team run, so IMO they should ALWAYS take priority over anyone else. IF we need to fill, then we go to our Friends network, i.e., people we know and trust not to be idiots. Last in line should be the random player in broadcast. PUGs may yes things to death, but in the end, there's no accountability for their actions. Master teams can't risk that without taking every alternative beforehand.

Having said that, I've had wonderful Master teams with PUGs (most failed, my most recent one actually succeeded). But you DO open the door to the risk that, because someone wants to be done 10 minutes earlier, they'll just fling a grenade to start the non-Master mentality.

2. With that in mind, future sign-ups should be done with the agreement that, if the Master run is ruined SPECIFICALLY due to griefing, everyone quits out for a quick reform. Why should the griefer be rewarded with the trial reward, at everyone else's expense? Do this often enough, and they'll get bored/frustrated enough to not do it again. The first two phases go fast enough anyway.

3. Accidents happen, even on Master teams (as anyone can tell you about the fastest Master LGTF failure on record... what was it, six seconds, my fault?...). If you screw up, (wo)man up and say so. So long as I'm getting consistent performance on a team, I won't chide you if you have the occasional goof. Right now the trials are a learning experience for everyone. NOW is the time to screw up and learn from the errors. But if you do, take the lumps, learn, and move on. If you blame other people for your errors, you do everyone a disservice.

I'm really sorry this run didn't work out for everyone who took the time to show up and participate. Don't let this discourage you; just learn from it, and be more zero tolerance with the idiots.

Well, I'm looking forward to trying this again. Hopefully without the wonderful CTD on loading Marauder in the courtyard next time. I'm pretty casual with what times I play, so having a date/time set in the forums works well for me. I'm free most any evening, although I can't commit to Mon/Weds unless we start after 9 PM EST.

I realize that I'm one of the forum "unknowns" so I don't mind if folks would rather someone vouch for me ahead of time. I'd much prefer to do this sort of thing in good faith, however. The frustration can be enourmous, I can understand that. But when it all comes down to it we're talking about, what, 30 minutes lost? MoLAM ain't exactly a Dr Q guys. I hope this bad experience doesn't get us all in the "everyone must pass around the temps before we can start" frame of mind. Teaming with friends I can understand. Treating adults like children rubs me the wrong way, though.

I would do a MoLAM, 53 Fire/Ice Blaster, 1205 badges, experienced lambda leader, attempted several MOs with pickups with varying success, but never to successful completion.

Like another person said, take a look at my badges and you can see that I am serious about getting a masters badge....granted I do not have every single badge to be had, however I have over 900 badges on my main toon.

I will agree with those that have been saying that even on a Masters team there is the occasional "goof", granted its only right for the person to fess up at the time. Typically I run with the Freedom Horde and they (hopefully) can vouch for me in regards to running TF's etc.... personally I really hate seeing TF's go sideways......

As for this Saturday...I doubt I will be around as I am going to a farewell party for a buddy of mine who is moving out to California next Tuesday.
