MoLambda baby
I wouldn't be surprised it that is how we "failed". I look at that "requirement" and can't help but think "who designed this?! " without having some indication in game that it would disqualify you. Really? How esoteric can you get!
And yeah, I'm still extremely annoyed, I admit it.

2 cents here. I 've been thinking about our MoLambda run today while brewing over the reward table debacle, and there may have been a way that we actually did fail it.
One of the spots that Marauder jumps to has an Molecular Acid capsule spawn right next to it. With all the AoE madness that was happening and possible uncontrolled pets (Lore or otherwise) the capsule could have easily been destroyed, giving a random person on the map a temp, which would fail the mission. Now if said person wasnt paying attention, they may not have noticed that they got an extra temp power. |

We purposefully stocked up on Psi damage (including Seer Lore pets), and made sure we had a good mix of people with Reactive and Diamagnetic Interface in addition to our dedicated debuffers.
We did the run shooting for "Lambda Looter", but ready to re-run two more times for the other two badges. We were extra careful when Marauder landed near the Acid weapon shipment, even dismissing pets for a bit there.
We were under a minute left when we took Marauder down. On completion, the 3 badges all awarded.
Happy to have MoLambda out of the way on my badger character.
It was challenging, tense, and an epic duel down to the wire, even with a team fairly well-constructed for it.
But it is an effort. Would not see much point to do it 3 times. If it gets changed to how it's supposed to work in next patch, I won't bother on any other characters now that FemFury has the badge. Well, except for using my Rad debuffer, kinetic, or Mind Dom to help other people get the badges.

Glad somebody got the Mo Badges... even if it was through a glitch in the system...
Isn't it strange that winning the lambda looter badge awards all three...it almost seems as if someone coded it wrong and it should be that getting the Well-Stocked badge (according to the current descriptions) would award all three. Just saying. It's obviously broken, but the Dev's would never admit it.
At this point, I can honestly say I am sick and tired of the new trials. It bores me to death (more so than usual) to have to do them over and over again to garner the rewards. With so many more alts to go, and the frustration of the rewards system on top of that, I don't know if I am even going to bother.

After my second BAF and my first Lambda, I decided that I'll Incarnate-out my main, and that's all. I won't bother with any of my other 50s. I find the endless repetition just too grindy and boring.
Hopefully this will be addressed in upcoming releases. If not, well, my subscription is paid up until February 2012, so I have that long to decide whether to stick around.
Personally I'm disappointed with the way the game is developing. Granted my experience is limited; this is the only MMO I've ever tried, and I'm really not that big of a gamer anyway. But I know when I'm enjoying myself and when I'm not.
I got all the badges by collecting all items but not using them.
Apparently I wasn't supposed to.
Still, it was awesome!

Well the folks at support have no intention of awarding us any badge for anything.
They simply referred me to the thread by Baryonyx that attempts to clarify the badge requirements. I'm sure we have all seen that thread by now.
Even though our team met the requirements of the Lambda Looter badge, they're position seems to be that we did not, that clearly we made a mistake, and that in no way could the system which rewards badges be broken.
This denial and disrespect seems all too prevalent as of late.

Same here, Nup. Between this and another (personal) issue I have with CS, I'm fed up. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer.

I pushed the issue a little further after they recommended that I read the post by Baronyx. After a couple more condescending replies, they were finally convinced of my ability to read beyond a 1st grade level and they finally agreed to check the logs and see what happened. All the feedback I got after that was "Your team failed the requirements." No elaboration was offered so I guess the case is closed. If we really failed then fine...I just don't appreciate how I was treated throughout the week-long conversation it took to find that out.

I've had my run in with CS recently also. I was on a BAF run, just got my Emp Merit, and a Rare roll when I mapserved. I logged back in and my Emp Merit was gone along with my reward table. It took them 4 days to get back to me, they checked the logs and couldn't find out why I lost the rewards.
I basically got the "oh well.. too bad, better luck next time" routine.
Is it me or would you guys give the customer the benifit of the doubt and get them what they were missing?
I could see if I was a serial complainer to CS, but I NEVER use CS unless I have somethign to contact them about.

Do you ever get the feeling that this game maybe has too many players for them to scrap it, but not enough for them to really care. Since all they do doesn't seem to raise the membership, perhaps they are looking to go the other way so they can finally be rid of it.

Someone who puts in few requests and has played the game for years without bugging about rewards should have earned some kind of merit for being trustworthy, yes?
I'd even suggest that some players here have been with the game longer than most of the CS reps they are dealing with, and as a paid for game, that isn't something to be taken lightly. Or maybe it is.

I'm purposely avoiding going to Austin for a while.
Knowing me I'd find the office and treat the CS team as if they were parking valets.
Only they'd deserve it more than the valets likely did.
EDIT: Inside joke. You really had to be there. Both years. Yeah, some people don't like humorous responses to posts. They can [censored] [censored] [censored] both [censored] ways from [censored].
EDIT 2: The above is not an attempt to bypass the profanity filter. I don't even have any idea what words might fit that sentence, it is strictly an exercise in sarcasm. I much prefer the old forums use of [censored] to the new forums use of ********* for filtered words. If you can't read the sarcasm or humor in most of my posts, you apparently can't read my posts.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Knowing how invested people were in getting the MoLambda badge, even if I hadn't noticed, I'm positive the rest of you would have noticed if Marauder had been pacified & been upset that someone had ruined it for that effort. As that didn't happen, I'm wondering if there's some other way for the use of a pacification grenade to be recorded in the game logs. We have learned that picking up a temporary power in the courtyard should deny you the awarding of any of the non-use badges, so I'm wondering if that's because it gets recorded as a use of the power? So if we accidentally destroyed one of the pacification grenade drops, then that's how our usage of a pacification grenade got recorded?
If that's how the reward determination mechanism is coded & recorded in the game logs, then I can see that getting awkward for Customer Service if they can't differentiate between usage & courtyard pick-up. Not that it would necessarily matter to them as both conditions work out to be the same thing to them, you are not qualified for the the badge.
