I have a link to some shots from the current production with Adrianne Palicki, but I've probably already been scooped. Anyhow, here you go.

Looks like they fixed the shiny, but I'm still not sure about this.

This chick can't fillout the suite. I don't see this going passed the pilot episode.

Then again wasn't Lynda Carter the third person to play wonder woman? there was a TV movie in the 70's? Cathy lee Crosby? (second?) was meant to be a pilot for the TV show.

The first wonder woman was Linda Harrison in 1967 pilot episode

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Woman_(TV_series)

BOTH those versions never made it passed the pilot.. I am going to assume this new one won't either.. its getting a lot of bad press.

Why does she have Silver Bracelets also ? She looks like Wonder Women's younger sister

The only woman that could have taken over that role is Lucy Lawless but she's on two shows already

This won't make it pass the pilot and end up like the Cape

The pants look much better in these pics, and the boots are red, yay! The gold detailing still looks a bit too fakey, but not as bad as the first pic released. Still think they're overdoing it with the extra 'W' details looking like they were glued onto the front of the boots.

Looks terrible. Neither the costume nor the actress make you think "Oh cool, that looks like Wonder Woman!" Everyone has their favorite, but now that she's not on Criminal Minds any more, Paget Brewster would be a better choice, IMHO.

Ewww!! I like her in the shiny pants better than the mix/match of shiny & fabric.

And I'm kinda diggin' the new boots (from a link in the other thread):

She still looks terrible for the part, but at least they came to their senses and went with the darker pants and red boots.

If they can get her to put on at least 10 pounds of muscle I might actually be able to believe she could fight her way out of a wet paper sack.

There's a presence factor to take into account as well, though.

I mean as Buffy the Vampire Slayer went on, Sarah Michelle Gellar got skinnier and skinnier while at the same time getting more and more badass.

And that's a big part of why I didn't bother watching the last 3 seasons. Lazy writing and the Angel spinoff being better (most of the time) were the others. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far, and somebody who weighs 90 lbs being able knockout somebody twice their size goes way beyond that.

The fourth season is considered the worst by a lot of folks, but I can't believe you refused to watch the last few seasons just because SMG dropped some poundage.

I mean you missed out on "The Body," Giles' pimp return at the end of season six, and probably the most epic series finale ever.

Gah, man! Gah.

You've gotta be kidding me. The fourth season is the only one the wife and I have on DVD. I mean, just the "Hush" episode alone was worth it.

Hey I didn't think it was all that bad, but a lot of the Buffy fans on these boards seem to think that the fourth season is the worst, at least that's the sense I've gotten.

No, I didn't mean to jump you, that was a serious comment as in "You are kidding, right?"

Apparently not. I'd like to hear from some of these folks that think Buffy improved after moving to the CW.

WW isn't Xena..

I don't expect WW to be fugly and a body builder.. she has to be strong but still eye candy.

I sware its like people want WW to look like this

Thats just NOT what I invision in WW...

I can see someone with some lean muscle and still attractive enough to pull off WW.. but not someone with a man chin.. just eww!

Here is someone with lean muscle mass (not saying she should be WW just an example)

o.O You play a game were such a character can do that, and I would think, liking comics, would have been use to this by now.

What can I say? I like my fighting women to actually [i]look[/] like they can fight and inflict real damage if necessary. And I never really cared for skinny women anyway.

It's something of a byproduct of my military and MMA training. I have taken real punches from people roughly her size, and I know that no matter how hard she might wind up for it, it's not gonna hurt much because she simply doesn't have the physical mass behind it. I have a really hard time with suspension of disbelief when it comes to things like that. I have a feeling that with the growing popularity of televised MMA, a lot of shows like this will have to be more realistic in their depiction of fighting if they want to get viewers on board.

Really? Does it bother you that Supergirl is a thin little girl who is almost as string as Superman?

Let's face it, Buffy was a comic book, just in a different medium. Her strength had nothing to do with her physical mass any more than Supergirl's does.

Basically.

I mean, you realize she was like as strong and tough as Spider-Man right?
