Server list merge and SGs

Im so excited to go and see the NA servers, and then maybe port some if not all of my alts to a more populated server.
But then I remembered that Im the owner of my SG base. My friends that were in the SG doesnt play the game anymore.
If I want to port the characters I will lose all the prestige, the base items, tp beacons and so on.
I think now we REALLY need the option to send an email SG invitation to our own alts. I can start over in a NA server and create another base from scratch, I love to have my own base, but I would need that option!
What do you guys think about it?

Being able to invite an alt of your own via e-mail/offline invite has been a much requested option for as long as supergroups have been around iirc.
Sadly, unless they've figured out how to do this and just havent told us its coming soon, then i dont see this coming for quite a while yet.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

Yeah, this would be a HUGE boon to many an alt-only supergroup. And it's been on the Request List™ for so long it's fallen into radioactive decay.

Definitely understand and share your desire for this feature. As a stopgap for now, feel free to PM if you start over on Triumph or Virtue. Heck, to help for the cause, I can make an alt with a gold spammer name and spend 10 minutes helping you get your stable into your new SG/VG and get them all the right rank then quit and delete my character.

That would be really kind!
When the time comes, lets see. Maybe in a free activation weekend one of my old friends can go online for a few minutes.
If no, I will let you know. I want to avoid making people losing their time to give me a favor, but mayble it will be the only way to have a SG base if my alts go to a NA server.

I vote they don't use email at all, but do everything through the registrar instead.

  1. The SG changes its setting to "Accepting Membership Applications"
  2. The character looking to join files a request form with the Registrar. This includes certain information about the applicant such as character name, global name, level and archetype, and a short note. Possibly also a link to pop open the character's Info Box, letting the SG view their description and power choices.
  3. The SG (probably any member that has invite privileges) decides whether to accept or reject the application.
This removes the pesky issue of sending something through gleemail that can only be claimed on one server or by one character. And it makes sense thematically too, talking to the SG Registrar to perform SG-related tasks.

Thats a really slick idea!

P.S. also willing to help out with a disposable alt if needed.

That idea is electric! And it isn't just serving the solo sgs either. I don't know why a 'request for membership' option hasn't been set up yet.

Hot diggity, Triplash's concept of how to implement that is brilliant!

/signed, for all that's worth

@Generator
Mostly Pinnacle, with scattered alts on Liberty, Freedom, and Justice.

I had a great time playing with you!

I badly want an offline SG invite feature for my own characters.

... oppose this idea in the slightest. If implemented as specified here, I feel this could be a huge boon to supergroups everywhere.

Is the same that we are asking/wanting too.
Try to invite our own alts to our own SG.
Via /email, offline SG invitation, or accepting membership feature.
I think the last one is the easier to put in game, and also could help newbies and casual players to join a SG of their tastes.
So, everyone /sign this, please!

I set up my second account solely to be able to organise my alt SGs, though it's since been overrun by new active alts, but I realise that's not an ideal solution for everyone, especially if your pc can't comfortably run multiple instances of the game, or if your alt-itis hasn't reached the stage where a second account is easily justified.

Wow... I figured something like this probably had been suggested before and just nothing came from it. But if it's really a new take, maybe I'll put this in its own Suggestion thread and see what happens there.

Thanks for the positivity, guys!

(And Angelxman, sorry for diverting your thread. It was unintentional, I swear!)

Edit: And here's the link to the Suggestion thread.

No problems Triplash.
I suggested it before in the suggestion thread.
And other people too and we still waiting, lol...
But maybe if we /sign for each thread the devs will finally listen to us.
