Burned Out

Anyone else feeling burned out after a week of LGTFs?

I figured it was the easiest way to do some damage on the last assist badge so I jumped on as many as I could. As of last night I was 45/50 on that last badge.

But now I'm finding myself really burnt out - to the point where I was getting really frustrated during the runs.

I know people sometimes do silly things, but when a team leader politely asks you -not- to do something, and then you do it anyways... ugh.

Just venting x.x

Well, yeah man, if you intentionally do the same thing over and over and over and over again, you should be burned out.

As for the frustration? Well, it doesn't take dozens of runs to have that happen, people will always do things that make you want to punch a baby harp seal, it's just human nature.

But don't worry, thinks will be OK, Tinkerbelle Broadway

I'm just glad I was with you on the "Imagine a boot, stomping a Rikti face, forever" run. That was good times! Also, it was like the day LGTF became the target so *shrugs*

to be honest....thsi past week I've gotten SO used to them(mind you, I ran LGTFs whenever they popped up anyways)

but....It's gotten to the point where I've memorized the door locations, and kind of mindlessly hover around and let the team benefit from my buffs while I veg out and do nothing.

only to find that a short time later, the TF has been completed.

yes, I'm burnt out from so many LGTFs, fortunately....I don't like being exemped down so I'll only run one sister psyche.

I did only one LGTF this week. I knew that if I'd just do those I'd get burnt out like I could have during a double xp weekend. Moderation is the key.

What bugs me is I'm going to have to tough it out if I want my main to get the final Tier Spiritual Alpha, 32 shards plus 2 Notices of The Well to make the ultra rare final recipe piece. >_<

Hopefully they add some kind of benefit for players who run weekly strike targets where if you have had your alpha slots unlocked, you can get shard drops. Does this happen right now? If not, this week is gunna blow since Psyche and Mantis are bellow the 45 mark (let alone shards still only drop off 50+'s right?).

in i20, all enemies will drop shards, not just level 50 ones.

and yet, today they're making it Sister Psi instead of the ITF... not waiting for I20 to make it an exempTF. I'm a bit frustrated at this. I like running TFs and working at getting shards and the nice bit of incarnate salvage/notice at the end. Means you can do things a little more casually. But this? Running a sister psi with no shards, RIGHT before I20, it's kind of cruel.

Reminds me of running the Cathedral of Pain, in that nobody's going to drop any rewards 'till the very end.

It bugs me more that there IS another accessable, well known and fun lv 50 TF that they didn't make into the weekly target before I20 drops, in the ITF. They really didn't have to make it a lower level TF before the I20 "Everything drops shards" patch, so why did they?

You can't spell Slaughter without laughter

All your gonna do is just farm behemoths anyways.

My thoughts on November 30.

Considering I missed the first half of the LGTF week because of various projects and I missed the second half due to technical difficulties... Difficulties I'm still having... No, I am not burnt out. In fact, I'm positively wooden, waiting to burn. -_-

So much this.

I understand, but do not like or agree with, the idea of mixing in the lower level TF/SFs for the weekly benefits, but I would rather they had separated the Notice of the Well weekly from the Bonus XP/Merits weekly. The idea that you have to run a number of TFs where you have to give up your powers to advance your Incarnate power, is counter intuitive to the point of foolishness in my opinion. But throwing one in before they even drop shards is mind boggling.

On the flip side some of the next TFs down the pipe are the Alpha ones (Apex, Tin Mage) and that completely kills the point of the bonus XP that pre 50 characters could have benefited from.

Really wish they had gone a different way with this system.

Whine whine Whine.

You can go and do level 50 TFs for Shards. Personally I think it might help with some of the burnout for people who just run the weekly TF for everything.

If you look at the schedule, the ITF is the week of March 15. Cimemora is a Roman Zone. Do you know what March 15 is?

I'm not tired of running the TFs 'cause I'm not running them nonstop. Instead, I just got my 3 mains level-shifted, and now whatever happens happens. I'm not gonna go chasing shards or notices. If I happen to get them, great. But it's not like if I don't get them on all my characters now, I'll die. In fact... it gives me time to still level alts and do other things.

I guess that's what I like about the WTF. I can do what I do, and when I decide I want to do more incarnatey stuff, I know exactly what to do.

Great, now I am thinking of the Capitol One commercial with the Barbarians in Vegas and running up to the check in desk at 'Caesar's Palace' with a batter ram while stopping to ask, "Um, is Caesar home?"

Meep!

Sir, yes sir!

Actually, I got the 50 assist badge last night with the help of the awesome BeowolfinIA (Possibly spelled wrong, but he's a lovable nub so it's okay) and the folks who stayed for the runs.

So my head is little more clear now - don't need to worry about grinding so much.

Though... when the ITF hits as the WTF... it's game on again!

Yes, love running stuff with you and Beo and others. It's folks like you that help make the game fun for folks like me. So no pressure or anything.

This really made my day.

Beo's a good guy. Our play styles mesh really well so generally TFs we do together go well.

I wonder if he reads the forums...
