As for Facebook, unless they're posting it to friends only you should be able to see it regardless, I think. Don't quote me on that, though.

On a whim, I logged into my Twitter account around 2:30pm EST and then saw that announcement was posted 1 hour prior.
I don't know if that was a Twitter or a browser issue, but VERY annoying!! Arg.

I was one of the people waiting for over two hours refreshing a link that doesn't work. Even when people put the link in here it took me to the page where it said Everyone is Invited to try the new trail blah blah crap. I started at that for 2 HOURS, my hubby on his pc got the same page, my friend all the way on the other side of the country got the same page, we NEVER saw the post. I had to make a stupid account to log in and see the post... that was complete waste of time. I thought this be fun something to give a shot and maybe save my hubby ten bucks, If I lost no biggie but to know it was posted LONG TIME AGO and I sat there waiting for a post that was already up but not showing is just beyond annoying!

It FINALLY showed up, after it was posted 3 HOURS ago.
That is just wrong.
The facebook ones cannot be there. It only started at 8, and theres been no updates as of yet.
Have an account and am logged in, no changes.
Either certain people in game are BSing or there is something fragged up going on.

I really hope a Community person makes some sort of comment on this, because soemthign went very wrong, especially since the (twitter part of the) giveaway is "ruined" for a number of us by that massive delay. If it didn't require split second "twitch typing" it wouldn't have been such a big deal.
Edit: My best bet, if you held a gun to my head and made me put money on it, is someone made a little error and marked it to their subscribers only and this thread alerted them to the problem, which they've corrected way too late.

I have no idea whether you need an account or not, but I did log out of my account and I could see the post on Twitter just fine.
You might need a Facebook account to see that one, but I don't 'think' you'll need to 'like' the page to see it when it comes.
I'm not an expert on this though.
Nothing has been posted on Facebook, I'm sitting here refreshing the page and there's no post about the giveaway there.
