Supernatural The Animation
Would it be terribly sad of my to admit that when I watched Supernatural, it was just because Jensen Ackles is hot?
Sorry lil anime, No pretties, no watchy.
So they're just re-doing the first 2 seasons? Lame.
I have to admit that I had interest in this show but never watched it. |

Ana and I love Supernatural. It's one of my favorite shows of all time.
I don't know if I'd actually watch an anime redoing of the episodes I've already seen or not, but it is an interesting idea.
Of course, it may just take me seeing the first episode to want to watch it all.
I entered the forum, accidently hit back, and in the quick second before it actually went back, I read the thread title as "Supernatural: The Abomination." I was ready to go on a rampage telling you why you are wrong, and why the show is awesome. Then I read the thread, realized it wasn't what I thought, and somehow ended back up at "Abomination"... But I've yet to find anime I can like. I think I heard about this a while back, and was meh on it then.

But I have no interest in a Supernatural anime. Especially without Jensen "Eye of the Tiger" Ackles. Or Jensen "Batman" Ackles.
Ok, I'll stop now.
More Jensen Ackles please.

I also loved him in Dark Angel.
I may have a small crush on him, just don't tell my husband.

That episode is about a "lucky' rabbit's foot which gives you incredible luck... until you lose it, give it away or someone takes it from you. Then you die horribly. And both brothers get it then lose it in that episode, which made it both hysterically funny and really scary.

Cas has some truly fantastic 1 liners...
"This isn't funny Dean! The voice says I'm almost out of minutes."
*To Lucifer* "Hey! A**butt." *throws molotov cocktail*
*Voicemail* "You have reached the voicemail of: 'I don't understand... why do you want me to say my name?'"
"Are you drunk?" "No. Yes." "What happened to you?" "I found a liquor store." "And?" "I drank it."

"Maybe one day. But today you're *my* little [censored]. "
"[after downing five shots] I Think I'm starting to feel something"
"This isn't funny, Dean! The voice says I'm almost out of minutes!
"
"I learned that from the pizza man. "
In response to Dean saying God might be in New Mexico on a tortilla: "No, he's not on any flatbread. "
Castiel is awesome!
According to the commentary on the "Croatoan future" episode from season 5 where Castiel has lost his angel powers and is engaging in orgies, Misha Collins was raised on a free love commune, basically a background the exact opposite of Jimmy/Castiel.

Even after Supernatural ends it's run, and it's been a great run so far, I'd love a Castiel spin-off show.
Maybe Cas and Bobby? Or if Jim Beaver is tired of the character, how about Cas travelling the country helping people with Victor French?

Course I don't see that ever happening, maybe if they get around to making a spinoff they can shoot for the Wild west one about Sam Colt they wanted to do a few years back.
If the CW wasn't so focused on creating shows around people 30 and under I'd love to see a show made around Rufus and Bobby. The episode this season that focused on these two was great...and Rufus was AWESOME in it in a comedic way.

Maybe Tommy Lee Jones as Sam, with another hunter with a different cultural perspective on the supernatural, maybe Benecio Del Toro or Lenny James. Misha Collins would have to play Castiel, even in a cameo.
Of course, they promised long ago to reveal why the boys are from Lawerence, Kansas (possibly one of the most supernatural places on earth) and why they're named Winchester (having to do with the curse on the Winchester family who made the guns) and they've not really touched on either.
It's been confirmed that the DVDs and Blu-rays will be coming stateside.

Warner Bros. Television has confirmed on Monday that it will release Supernatural: The Anime Series via Blu-ray Disc, DVD, video on demand, and download in North America on July 26. The original American live-action television series Supernatural follows the Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as they hunt creatures and other supernatural phenomena across the American landscape. Directors Shigeyuki Miya and Atsuko Ishizuka at the anime studio MADHOUSE adapted the general storyline from the live-action version's first two seasons with re-imagined stories as well as new stories. Padalecki, the co-lead actor on the original live-action series, dubbed all 22 episodes of the first anime season. However, co-star Ackles only dubbed "select" episodes of Supernatural: The Anime Series. The North American releases will feature both English (5.1) and Japanese soundtracks. The standard-definition release will come with English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing as well as French, Chinese, Spanish, and Thai subtitles for a sugggested retail price of US$49.98. The US$54.97 Blu-ray release will come with English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing as well as French, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Chinese, and Spanish subtitles. |

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?
Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?
I guess Warner Brothers felt that Japan (sorry for you people who hate Japanese animation character art) has enough of a fan base for a cartoon to be made of their hit show Supernatural, being done by Madhouse. It's going to be 22 episodes and will cover the story line from the first 2 seasons. It will also have additional side stories not shown in the live action version.
It was initially announced that Jared (Sam) and Jensen (Dean) would only provide their voices for the last 2 episodes. The Japanese voice actors who dub the live action will do the voices for this anime though. No US release announcement was made but the DVDs and Blu-Ray would have English subtitles, I think.
A few days ago WB of Japan said that Jared will do all 22 episodes. Jensen won't, but will still do the last 2 Episodes. (according to amazon.co.jp the other 20 episodes will be done by someone named Andrew Farrar) Rumor has it that there will be a US DVD release, but there is no official announcement.

I have to admit that I had interest in this show but never watched it. Till I saw the trailers for the Animation about a month ago . I've seen all of the first season and have the 2nd one in my Netflix queue. Sucks that Netflix doesn't have the 2nd season on BD though...
edit: fixed a few things that sounded odd, added links, etc.
