Costume Suggestion: Adding non-robotic arms to Robotic Arm option

The art resources for it already exist! All it requires is to clip all the arms off of all the existing torsos, and add them as options for robotic arm. No need to hire a highly qualified graphic artist and pay them to make more original content.

I've been making some really awesome costumes by taking the banded robotic arms and adding them to ordinary (non-robotic) torsos. I can do stuff like make a female character with one sleeveless arm and other has a sleeve, stuff like that. The frustrating this is that, unfortunately, banded robotic is the only option that looks like armor instead of cybernetics. But, why have it that way? Why not add all the other arms too?

Definitely would love to see this. I'd even go so far as to add a permanent left/right arm category in the costume creator for all characters so you can set them independently if you want.

I would also like to see left/right hand, too, so you can have a gauntlet or a glove on one hand and a regular other hand... or even a monstrous/zombie hand of power.

Things like the Spring Fling toga not allowing my blaster to keep his robot arm really limits costume options.

More costume selection options can only help the game and can help up that number of unique costumes possibly with the costume creator for the marketing team to flaunt.

I would like the option of having the Hook as one of the "Gloves" for Robot arms.

Agreed; it is worth the effort, time, and money for this to be done, and I am surprised it hasn't been done already 7 years into the game!

If we're going to go to all this trouble why not add shoulder details to this as well.

Meh, if it can be done easily then fine, but I don't (and I think others as well) have AS much of a demand for this at the moment.

I don't see why it would be too hard to do (unless adding all these new variables drastically increases the amount of data that needs to be transferred between the server and clients, but I don't foresee that being the case), so I'd definitely add shoulder details to the list. You see plenty of asymmetrical shoulder pads in superhero costumes, like Cable's Civil War battle suit.

Huh? What? What am I doing here? I was just... And then... What did you do!?!

I agree with this idea wholeheartedly. The "robotic arm" tech has the potential to be so much more than just robotics. I'd rename the category to "different arm" and include things like mutated monster arms (like what the T-Virus produces), giant hairy animal arms, arms made of rock and granite, arms made of crystal, arms made of tree limbs, arms made of fire, arms made of ice, arms with bones sticking out and, hell, even just basic human arms, both ordinary, more skinny and gaunt, and more bulky and muscular. This could be the easy solution to giving females more muscular arms without redoing the whole model.

There's no reason why "robotic arms" have to be restricted to being only robotic any more than there's a reason to restrict hats to just cloth hats (and we already have Enforcer, Cyborg and Alpha metal helmets in there). This has the possibility to allow a LOT of new possibilities for not that much of an investment.

Yes please!!!! there have been plenty of times where I chose Stealth or some other top and thought "damn I wish I could go sleeveless/asymetrical" in fact I recall suggesting a "bare arms" option years ago

So very signed. I was actually thinking about this just last night; "If they'll let us use existing robotic arms asymmetrically, why not allow us to use ALL arms this way?"

More options > less options

I would personally also like to see them add a robotic arms option to sleeveless robes/jackets or vice versa; whichever is easier.

Hell, I'd like the jacket/robe sleeves to be included in the separate arm options.

I have to say I'd be happy with just the basic arms, or even if they just added a few possibly-human arms to the Robotic selection. Even just a few of them would change my options dramatically, since I only have one option right now. (It's either banded robotic or she has to actually be a cyborg.) Well, I guess Banded + Witch gloves kind of adds another semi-option.

I'd be on board with this. I'd pay for it in a booster. That and pirate hat hair that poofs away from the head/body a bit more then they do. You think i'd have a pirate toon by now... but nope. Not with the terrible hair clippage into pretty much any jacket... including the trench. I have tried. Also Cyn's suggestion is great. And monster oversised arms.... Well there's your chance to provide a oversized glove and an 'invisible' claws option solution to the we want "natural" claws for claws camp. Shouldn't it work?

I would really like to see this sort of thing possibly applied to powers as well, e.g. Resistance fighters with their one armed energy melee attacks or a character with shield defence, only without the shield. Would open up the possibility of a toon deriving their powers from a device/artifact/mutation etc. in just one arm. But yeah, more asymmetrical costume options!

I can't be bothered to think of something amazingly wise or witty to show how much of a genius I am, just take my word for it.

I think this is a terrible idea.

Oh wait, no. That's the opposite of what I think. This is a great idea.
