I recently got into an argument with a friend. I felt strongly that his careless actions hurt those around him. In all sincerity, I told him "You may think your behavior is single target, but it's painfully AoE."
It connected with him.

When you try to help your friend out by giving them one of those magic card thingies like "lovers", "hermit", etc.
When you're cruising around town, you hear the CoV/H theme music.
When you go into your bank just to make a simple transaction, you see the other customers are very scared & all the security guards wanna kick your butt & a bunch of Longbows show up, wanting to join in the fight.
You go to a building that has an elevator, and it takes you a minute to realize you can take it all the way to the top floor, but get off on every floor anyway to clear the map.
When a cop friend of yours pulls up, and you say, "The blueberry is here!"
And yeah, I did that the other day.

Also, in a non-related instance, I saw one npc talking to another last night and one says "string" then the other replied "string" (no proper punctuation for context included.)
Not $string or $target string, indicating they may have a text string of random value to say, just "string".
I think maybe the npcs know that freem and string are related, or they're gone to the americans.
As you walk around town you find yourself looking down to see if there are any of those black and gold exploration badge markers around.
Edit: thought of a couple more:
Now when you trip and fall on your face instead of getting up you just lay there wondering if anyone will rez you.
You keep going back to your boss to get new tasks wondering when you will get to his/her story arc.
