Well, dear Dominatrix has apparently moved on from 'serving' her granddad to cheerfully screwing over poor Anti-Matter in every sense of the word and some besides to boost Neuron up the popularity ladder. WHY... I've no idea, unless she intends to pull the rug out from under him to watch him go tumbling down out of some sense of malicious entertainment.

And since when did Neuron become 'all that and a bag of chips'? He's got Bobcat mewling over him in Studio 55, Battle Maiden standing guard for him outside the Tower, and Domi stealing Anti-Matter's tech to give it to him. Neuron's tower really is like one big 40-story middle finger to Keyes over on Reactor Island...
Ya know what? Word. Anti-Matter's not incompetent, by any stretch of the imagination, but Neuron looks like he's in over his head more and more, as you follow his work more closely. What gives?

And when the hell did he become a scientist, let alone an intelligent one? Primal Berry's characterization was, more or less, that he was the everyman, no? The flip-side of that is hedonistic, not Praetor of Science.

I hate to be the one to point this out, but FunstuffofDoom, you're starting to get slightly off topic!

Am I? My bad. Here, let's argue a bit over whether or not we're off topic!

I'll begin with an aggressive denial containing a passive-aggressive insult at some group you associate with, and move into a sweeping generalization affirming my position.

This is partly because Praetoria's no longer 'opposite land'. This is also a case of 'Characterization marches on' and the Devs refusing to retcon out all the things that, left in, are wall bangers.

That never did make sense to me. I always wanted Neuron to be the counterpart of someone other than Steven Berry ... preferably the guy who gave Berry his powers on Primal Earth. (Professor Null from the Freedom Phalanx novel.)

Actually, it does make sense - all the rest of the Freedom Phalanx and the Vindicators have their evil versions in Praetoria, so there's no reason for Steven Berry not to be Neuron - he's an evil scientist who experiments on other people instead of being a hero who got his powers from being experimented on by evil people.

Actually, there's a big exception with Battle Maiden, who is a native of Battle Earth but found herself in Praetoria. Battle Maiden's identity may be exactly that.
On the flipside, Valkyrie is native to Primal earth, and her spear is actually from Battle Earth too, otherwise, the two women share no known connection.

Do I need to sing an off-topic version of Double Rainbow?

@Blaze Moon, Blaze Moon the 2nd

This is where something more interesting than my global and this sentence would be.

Primal Earth Steve is not a super scientific genius, Praetorian Steve is. That's the dichotomy.
Not that Praetorian Steve is evil, but that he's smarter than his Primal counterpart.

I always assumed Battle Maiden WAS an alternate Valkyrie: But the War Earth one, not Praetorian Earth One.

Btw. I still ship Scirocco/Ghost Widow.

Come on, it's canon!

Also, I always feel sorry for beating up Bobcat at the end of Tin Mage.... We were BFF's!

Scirocco always wants what he can't have ... he and Clockwork King should get drunk together and commiserate about their crushes.

IMO, Ghost Widow is not capable of love.

As I recall, Primal Steven was a high paid corporate accountant which means he may have been just as smart as Praetorian Steven, he just didn't study the same field, or perhaps the imminent threat of extinction caused Praetorian Steven to apply himself more. However, it seems mildly odd to get hung up on possible disparities in Steven Barry's I.Q. given that Shalice's birthday differs by decades between the 2 universes.

Eh. I'm just assuming that Praetorian Shalice has been stealing bodies a lot longer than Primal Shalice did.

How would that explain a difference in birthdays?

There are 2 pieces of conflicting data on how old Sister Psyche is. First we have the Freedom Phalanx novel which puts her as 16 during Nemesis's VE Day invasion and then we have the Calender Wallpapers on the CoH webs site which list Shalice's birth day as July 13, 1920.

Mother Mayhem was born during the Hamidon Wars, and since the Korean War is mentioned in Tyrant's Bio as predating that, presumably sometime after 1950.

Also Tyrant's bio seems to place the 2010 as 25 years after the end of the war (1985) at which point Mother Mayhem is 22 or less so it would seem she couldn't have been born any earlier the 1963.

Ugh, when it comes to dates in this game's canon, it's like "roll dice for a date".

And if Ghost Widow can feel jealousy, longing, and whatnot, who says she can't feel love? I'd love to make a video shipping her and Scirocco to "The World is Not Enough" by Garbage.

As for the other ships...
Clockwork King + Penny Yin= "You're Sixteen, You're Beautiful, and You're Mine"
Nemesis + Clockwork King = "Steam Heat"
Statesman + Faultline = "Accidentally in Love"
Fusionette + Swan = "Bad Romance"

What if Shalice's birthday is the earlier date of 1920 and her later Bday is her current host?

I want to do Citadel and Luninary, but I need a great Bender pickup line to go in a speech bubble.

Anyone got any good Bender pickup lines committed to memory?

This is the image I copied for the Statesman joke. Some of you may have never heard of this movie before, but I know many many of you connected the image to that movie.

If I've ruined the movie for you I'm sorry.

I showed the image to GG hoping she would do it since she could have done it better. Statesman's leg looks like it was drawn by Rob Liefield in my image. I don't think GG would have had the guts to add just that little hint of but cheek I did.

Impervious Fist have you ever had a thread break 10,000 views before.
