I had big plans for that boulder, dammit. Big plans... a snow sculpture masterpiece... all broken into millions of tiny snowballs... all but forgotten in the chaos of digging you out before you suffocated.... but thats the way it always was... it was always about YOU!
I'M THE VICTIM HERE, DAMMIT!
Seriously, no one has the name of the person who came up with this yet?
Really starting to annoy me when forming teams....

Actually, he's a professional fall guy. Anytime they do anything that might be deemed unpopular, they design it, code it up, test it, and then call in Phil to actually click the button that adds the feature to the code. That way, he and he alone can take the blame. They learned their lesson after the PvP changes and put him on a retainer. They tried to get him back then, he was booked solid by both political parties (it was nearing the end of an election year).
Unfortunately, this technique is unlikely to appease the playerbase here. Us forumites set our crosshairs on rednames and rednames only. Phil will accept the blame for everything from toxic spills to economic collapse, but he has his limits. He absolutely refuses to post anything on any internet gaming forum.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
After playing a dozen other MMORPGs over the years, I actually think it's kind of nice that this is the sort of bug we usually have to complain about. I realize the OP is kind of tongue in cheek. Still, I'm not sure what it would accomplish to "have names" of the person(s) behind this mistake (or bug, or feature, or whatever it is), other than displaying a lack of graciousness and/or gratitude on our (the community's) part. Threads like this make us look a bit petty.
Having said that, I agree with NuclearToast that if it's not in the patch notes, and if it detracts from the game rather than adding to it (which the community seems to agree, it detracts), then it's a bug. A rather small bug.

Slightly annoying "bug" is not worth the amount of angst being generated by this thread.
Type slower and adapt. Not a big deal. Teams will still form in a timely fashion.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Still... ANGST?! Bwuh? Is this a new use of the word?
The vast majority of posts have expressed either humor, irritation, or humorous irritation.
No no, for angst i suggest something a bit stronger.

Let's see. 2 second cool down period between invites. Assume that you are really slow and take an entire extra second to click on the name and click invite. At 3 seconds per you can still invite 20 people to a team in 1 minute.
I know it's just my opinion but sheesh, some people need to get a bit of perspective here. If you'll take the time to remember just a short while back you couldn't even invite people by clicking on their name. You had to target the character or else type their name out. I vote that they increase the time between invites to 30 seconds. I really really want to see what it looks like when somebodies head explodes. |
Calm down, have some dip.
