Blu-ray Must-Haves?
I third Speed Racer. Also The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China look amazing on Blu-Ray, it's insane how well those were cleaned up.
Branching Paragon Police Department Epic Archetype, please!
Thematically and storywise, it sits halfway between The Stuntman and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Starring everyone's favorite piemaker.

If you like Anime both Akira and Ghost in the Shell 2.0 are available on Blu-Ray.
I feel Watchmen Ultimate Cut is a must have for any Blu-Ray collection.
Smurfs.
Cause they're blue.
Watchmen, Iron Man 1&2 and Serenity. I suggest watching the Firefly series on blu-ray before Serenity, though. Good stuff.

...oh, and Pan's Labyrinth.

Okay so this is my list of Blu-ray must-haves at the moment:
- Pan's Labyrinth
- Spider-Man Trilogy
- The Fountain
- Watchmen
- Sunshine
- Speed Racer
- Batman Begins
- The Dark Knight
- 300
- Wall-E
- Iron Man
- The Cell
- Braveheart
- Fight Club
- Minority Report
- Independence Day
- Stardust
- Hero
- The Forbidden Kingdom
Underlined ones have already been ordered from Amazon. Going to see how much they're charging for the other ones during the last minute xmas sales this weekend.

Silverspar on Kelly Hu: A face that could melt paint off the wall *shivers*
Someone play my AE arc! "The Heart of Statesman" ID: 343405
You guys forgot Terminator Salvation and Full Metal Jacket. Troy is good on Blu-Ray as well.
Scott Pilgrim
Forbidden Planet
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series. (blu-ray version) Seriously, if they showed this in stores the things would sell much better. I made the mistake of bringing this to a friend's New Years party once, the whole party just stopped to gawk at the beauty.
Having been watching my Babylon 5 DVD's on my new 55" LCD, I truly hope that WB and JMS can iron out the technical (and probably financial) problems and get that series on Blu Ray.
Okay, so far I picked up:
- Batman Begins
- The Dark Knight
- Speed Racer
- Sunshine
- The Fifth Element
- The Patriot
- Pan's Labyrinth
- Spider-Man
- Spider-Man 2
- Spider-Man 3
- Inception
- The Fountain
- Watchmen
- Planet Earth
I also have Supernatural Seasons Four and Five on Blu-Ray coming (they were uber cheap on Amazon and I needed those seasons to complete the set). And my dad got me Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam.
Unfortunately, I have to return Sunshine, because the latest Blu-ray player firmware update enabled picture in picture compatibility but if your TV doesn't have picture in picture settings you can't turn it off, and Sunshine is apparently the only Blu-ray to have picture in picture commentary.

Also, some older movies are getting cheap transfers to Blue Ray and ending up in bargain bins. I bought the Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood, and was completely shocked at how crisp and beautiful it was.
A fine list, really. But at least rent Contact. That goes for all of you!

When I first got my Blu-Ray player I picked up the live action Speed Racer movie. Not only is it a fun little flick, it really shows off some great color depth in HD.
You're not super until you put on The Cape!
