So... I just saw Tangled.
Lol my fiance just saw the previews for that and is already buggin me to go see it.
Took my daughter to see it (2D) and we both loved it!
I still don't see why they had to kill off the Princess Line, but the movie was great and evenhad me tearing up at parts.

Tangled is a movie that caught my eye. I don't usually go for the Disney princessey movies because they're far too saccharine for my tastes, but this one looks like it has potential.
Goodbye, I guess.

I think my favorite scene might be right after Rapunzel finally leaves her tower and she alternates between being ecstatic and completely freaking out.
"This is great!!!"
(2 seconds later)
"I'm a horrible daughter!"
That sort of thing. Heh.

I enjoyed it. The theatre at my location only had 3D, but it really went well with the picture. I would recommend it to most anyone.

My wife and I liked it very much, but I was a little bugged by all the PR hype that it was "new" in that it "wasn't a Princess movie," that they somehow "reinvented the Princess" and "broke the mold". With respect to these, it really didn't break any ground for me - heck, she WAS the princess! My expectations of something "new" were somewhat dashed by this. To me, she was "Belle" combined with "Cinderella", and the story was very "Cinderella".
Great flick, I totally recommend it for Disney fans and kids, but don't really look for anything 'groundbreaking', imho.

Honestly, I generally liked it, but I didn't like any of the songs at all. I thought they were dumb and felt forced. The characters and story were all fun, but I just really didn't like the songs at all. And I'm a big fan of the Disney Princesses, I even remember going to see Beauty and the Beast in theaters when I was fairly young, and my daughter now enjoys them.
I have a dream. Best most unexpected musical number ever.
Thug: Go follow your dream.
Flynn: Thanks.
Thug: Your dream sucks. I was talking to her.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
Hehe. Have to admit, I liked this little movie. Not normally my thing, these fairlytale/kiddy flicks, but my kid sister wanted to see it in a bad way, and well, i had nothing else really going on.
I ended up really liking it. Love the rapid mood swings the girl had after leaving the tower, and the bandits were cool. Top notice all around. Glad she (my sister) draged me too it. (prolly wouldn't have seen it on my own. No kids and single and all. heh.)

I also loved the I Have a Dream part. I also liked the musical moment they had when they arrived in town. You know the one with no lyrics where everyone was just dancing around?
Yes, I know...
Necroing a 2 week+ thread, bad.
But considering this is sort of in context, I thought it better to necro than to start a new one. Now then...
Now I haven't seen Tangled yet, still want to though, so take this as you will.
The gent responsible for the "Twisted Princesses" series of pics has done one for Rapunzel as well. Artistically, it's decent. It's the backstory that the artist gives on this one, I rather like.
Thank you for the time...
I gotta say, I didn't expect it to be bad but it was a lot better then I really expected it to be. It felt a lot like some of Disney's older movies what with characters randomly breaking into song, but with CGI instead of regular animation.
Anyone else see it? I didn't see any threads about it aside from the one with Marcian complaining about the death of the Princess series...
